No, he wouldn't.0 -
I thought the same, people are being very naive if they think `normal` people do not indulge in drugs; I've seen far more tragedy through alcohol in my life so far than any drug. It's about the trust here, some posters shouting out about the OP reporting him to the Police is just plain daft.bitemebankers wrote: »Well, quite. Alcohol in particular is far more dangerous than most illegal drugs - it can and does cause accidental deaths in children every year.
But this isn't really about the actual risk these drugs present is it? It's about one woman's trust being breached (which I sympathise with) and a whole load of moral panic about drugs. Honestly, to read some of the comments on this thread, you'd think the OP's husband had been supplying bombs to al quaeda. What a sheltered life you lot must lead...
I doubt this is the only man to have drugs on him and it doesn't make him a dealer nor does it mean if he is getting it for a friend he must be getting something out of it for himself. Until the OP has the big talk we could surmise 'til the cows are home.0 -

Exactly - it's the breach of trust that's the real issue. Millions of ordinary, productive members of society use illegal drugs recreationally, without a problem. Having a bit of coke really is nothing - even the police can barely be bothered dealing with it. Lying to your partner is much more serious issue though, I feel."There may be a legal obligation to obey, but there will be no moral obligation to obey. When it comes to history, it will be the people who broke the law for freedom that will be remembered and honoured." --Rt. Hon. Tony Benn0 -
Not that cut and dry - my friend got busted with a small amount of cocaine and stupidly said, in an interview "I just got a bit for me and my friends" even the police slapped their heads with their hands! They had to arrest her for intent to supply, but the judge wasn't daft - she's a good person with a stable job and no other convictions, just unbelievably reckless. He gave her a suspended sentence, but she can never got to the USA. Her job as an estate agent was not in jeopardy though!neverdespairgirl wrote: »That's worse.
That's "possession with intent to supply". Doesn't matter if he's making a profit or not, he's still dealing, not just possessing.0 -

Wow - I'm glad I live in my world, not yours.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I take it you don't have kids?
I have led a far from sheltered life but responsible people knock it on the head when they have kids, not least of all from the point of view of not putting themselves at risk, and they certainly don't bring it into the house.Make £25 a day in April £0/£750 (March £584, February £602, January £883.66)

I cant pass anything on I gave it to my local chemist and told them I found it.
I know im an idiot but its not all black and white I wish it was, and no I don't like living like this and do hope that one day I will get the strength and courage to say goodbye, but im not quite at that point, nearing it but not there yet.
You probably aren't an idiot.. but he thinks you are.. don't put yourself down.. you have a lying, cheating, drug dealing husband to do that for you.. You best hope your children don't find the next stash.. the one he is out buying now... just a small amount can cause heart failure in a small child.. good luck explaining that one away!
I kicked my husband out after 20 years too.. after he had been having an affair had he been dealing drugs too there might not have been much left to kick out.
It is very black and white.. your 'husband' has lied to you, cheated, is dealing drugs, is bringing said drugs into your home where your children are... what more does he have to do?LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Dunroamin, you're absolutely right, I would be surprised.
I must be so out of touch. Not that I mind - I don't want to be involved in that kind of life.
If drug taking (incl alcohol abuse) is as rife and an every day recreational activity as some posters are telling us then that explains all the rage incidents and hostile aggression that we see in society today and didn't see 50 years ago.
How do people function?
How do people's drug induced mood changes affect the poor children watching them.
Aren't there better things to spend money on?~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

The rage incidents, hostile aggression and mood changes are a result of prescribed medication and alcohol more than illegal drugs , " The Cult of Pharmacology" by Richard DeGrandpree is an excellent and mind provoking read for anybody with an interest in This subjectDunroamin, you're absolutely right, I would be surprised.
