You need to read my post again.

She did not have a blue badge. She had the clock part. That is not a blue badge.

    Nothing to do with bias.

How would she have got the clock?

I suggest you stop speaking out of your backside!

I happen to be one of those awkwardly disabled people who fall between the stools when it comes to qualifying for a badge - So I do use private disabled spaces quite regularly and I follow the EHRC advice and inform the store on entry.

I have not been ticketed yet - Which suggests that whatever the signs/PPC contracts say, the stores/PPCs do know exactly where they stand here!

Now please, your apology for perpetuating criminal discrimination and trying to mislead?

So you are admitting you are one of those (people) who do not qualifyfor a blue badge, yet still park in a marked disabled place stopping genuine disabled people with blue badges from parking there.

    That says everything.

I suggest you go to your nearest Tesco supermarket which is on private land and park in one of their disabled spaces without displaying a blue badge and see what happens.

You get a ''ticket'' from a private parking company , asking you nicely to contribute to their christmas fund or you dont wish to they let you file it it the bin

So on one hand, you are making the assumption that she couldn't possibly be disabled because she didn't have the BB with her, she ran into the clinic, and you read behind her words that she clearly wasn't disabled.

On the other hand, it didn't cross your mind that you could have parked behind her, helped your BIL out of the car into the clinic and then gone and parked somewhere else since YOU don't have an issue with mobility.

Sounds to me like selective pointing of the finger!

And you my dear have done exactly what you are attacking me for and made an assumption that I do not have an issue with mobility!!

Easy, you get a new clock every few years when you reapply. My old ones are still in very good condition when I cut them up and throw away (I don't get out much to use them all the time).

People may chuck the badge since that proves it is out of date, but keep the clock to give to relatives/friends as I've explained before.

Displaying a clock means absolutely nothing in terms of entitlement to a space and on its own has no legal or other value whatever. Without a blue badge displayed she was not entitled to use the space.

I am not disabled myself and would never dream of using one of these spaces for my own purpose.

This may have been the post that suggested you do not have any mobility problems.

Make you story clear. Earlier you stated that you were not disabled. You might have mobility issues, but clearly not severe enough for a blue badge, so if you were without your Brother in law, you would have had to park somewhere else anyway.
I am not disabled myself and would never dream of using one of these spaces for my own purpose. Life is difficult enough for anyone with a disability and I detest the way some people seem to resent any special treatment someone may get to help make their lives just a little easier

    That says everything.

No - Your assumption says everything about your shocking disablism though.

    FYI:
    EHRC England and Wales:

"In order for someone to be regarded as disabled under the Equality Act a person does not need to hold a blue badge. The requirement under the Equality Act is that a person would need to meet the Definition of Disability under Section 6 of the Act.

I have attached a link to the appropriate section of our website which will give further guidance on this.

    http://www.equalityhumanrights.com/advice-and-guidance/your-rights/disability/

I hope you find this information useful.”

So that's the end of it! - Blue Badges are not and have never been valid on private property.

So apologise for trying to mislead people and save at least some dignity please!
