  • Juststarting - one thing I always bear in mind is that you can't tidy up clutter; you have to get rid otherwise you spend all your time moving stuff around.

I am trying to get rid as I do just move it all around, just not found manythings that I haven't used.
I am still tackling the kitchen it is taking a lot longer then throught Just need about 3 more cupboards as up until now my tins have been stood in box in the dinning room and want them where they belong oh well must get back to it or it will be time for the school run and I never seem to get anything done once I have got the kids home.

Hi everyone, I feel a bit of a faliure only my second week and falling behind badly. I know I'm forgiven but its been one of those weeks, my spaniel Milly had her biopsy yesterday and I now have to wait 10 days for the result and try to keep her bright red bandages clean... also trying to get my court bundles together as I have a court date with Lloyds TSB this month... youngest child in the middle of her GCSE's and seems to have forgotton how to make a bed or put dishes in the dishwasher etc.. all getting a bit much.
Oh well by next week hopefully I'll be flying like a red arrow xxx

Hi, Nicki  My 2, DS especially, were (still are) biq question-askers. I reckon it's good for them to interact and be interested in the world around them, but I now ration DS to 100 Qs a day ;);) I know how tiring it can be :D Can you point me to a link for your thread?

The thread is on another Message board and its "why do we have Halloween on the 31st of October every year?" :rotfl: I can cope with the "where do babies come from" it's the more obscure ones I puzzle over...and google is a lifesaver for me :rotfl: Don't know if you will be able to view this or not but here's the link anyway : http://www.slemen.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=8601

Well I'm about as done as I can be without breaking my back in the garden. Still have plants I need to put out, but sweeping/hosing it down became my priority at 2pm! Oh the mess I make when I'm gardening :o

Right, best go and pick DD up from school. I might let her make tea tonight....maybe spag bol? Maybe she'll eat it if she's made it? Best run

I never did get my nap and I'm going to work in an hour......maybe tomorrow.

Stripped and remade DD's bed today. Just about got it dry outside, it's very grey.

Also put away a lot of "stuff" in her room. She's old enough to do it herself (and normally does) but I just couldn't stand to look at it today and it only took about 20 minutes to do the lot, including remaking the bed. Makes me feel calmer inside.
  • Nicki-I know the answer to that one. Its Because it ALL Saints day on the 1st of November and its to do with flushing the bad spirits out to let the good ones in on all saints day! hope that makes sense, (i went to a church school)
    Nothing to declare ;)

I feel like a bad mummy today. I 'let' charlie fall off our bed and bump his head. I only turned away for a second and he was gone, which just shows how quick he is nowadays.
Apart from that, not a huge amount of flying done, as i've tried to play with my boy to make up for being evil and not protecting him  . Dinner is cooking in the SC though, and DH rang to say was it alright if he went out this evening with someone who is leaving work today, so i said go, so i could have the extra peace and quiet, and the stew can always freeze or blend for Charlie.
We've just had a half hour out having a walk up to the vets to get the stuff we need to catch a urine sample, and i feel a bit more energised for a bit of a blow in the breeze, so will start the whole tea-time/bedtime wind down with Charlie at 5, and then be ready to crack on at 7pm. I'm not going to feel guilty about what i have not done, cos it will get done at some point, and nowhere is really filthy, just a bit covered in toys and charlie prints.
Marking is going well today, so hopefully i should get a bit of time to myself to relax tonight. Anthea's repeated tonight at 7 if like me you missed it yesterday. I will have it on in the background while i get on i think. Will do a proper update later.

I knew that too, so you should probably just ask on here if she gives you tricky qs as we have a wide wealth of experiences.
I work at an 'all saints' school. and also went to a church school.

Don't be daft.. we have all done things like that.. mine was worse.. child number 8.. so IMO, I should have known better!! I put her in the crib.. the central heating came on and burned her tiny hand on the radiator.. she was about 6 weeks old.. first A&E visit!!! I knew the heating was dodgy.. but thought that radiator was turned off.. accidents happen and no doubt he was none the worse for his bump and has probably long since forgotten and it is just you feeling bad. .. couple of weeks after that I was back at A&E with DD4 and a dislocated elbow!!

Accidents happen, they are noones fault, hence being called accidents!

    (((hugs)))
