I'm still going unfortunately. Just time for a quick break on here, as i must do another 10 papers before bed at least!! AAAAHHH! Does it ever end?
One good thing though, there was nothing on the telly, so DH went and did an hour in the garden, cut grass and did some weeding, phoned the in-laws to sort some more bits out for our hols, and generally wasn't distracting me, so i've done more than i thought i would have by now, and my view out the window was a whole lot less depressing than earlier today!! He's a good one when he isn't too tired.
(although i think it was to make up for the fact that he came home late for the vet so didn't have time to ask me what to say, and then told them the cat was feeling ok again, so they didn't do a urine test like they should, so now i have to try and collect one at home which should be yet another tricky thing i could do without, and i was a bit snappy with him, cos he obviously wasn't listening when i told him about it yesterday)

DenizeNZ - flying? - you've been supersonic!
I'm shattered already just reading your dones...
I've got a load of paid ironing to do this morning: went mental in the sitting room yesterday and it is looking SO much better - I even properly waxed the sideboard, and a lovely pal brought round some sunflowers to cheer me up - and I couldn't have them lurking in mire and detritus, could I? Anyway - am picking up SDD (surrogate dear daughter!!) this morning to take her to playgroup after I've dropped DS1 at his nursery, and need to drop ironing off too - then I have SDD and SDS coming around for tea and communal bathtime this afternoon, so I'd better get cracking.
Not exactly working to list, but am getting back into the swing and decluttering LARGE - so I should be back on shedule next week. Anyway - DS2 is practising his pouring skills in the bathroom, and his hand-eye coordination isn't exactly A1, soI'd better go and do some mopping up (he's also discovered the plug - which is not a good thing....)
Hope everyone has a lovely lovely dayIs it home time yet?0 -
Hi everyone,
I haven't been on for a couple of weeks, been pre-occupied with other stuff, We found out recently that DD needs to have major spinal surgery this year so just been trying to get my head round it all really. Have kept up with keeping the place straight though but I need to get back into some kind of routine!!
Just had a quick look through the last page of posts and tinselfairy It's so exciting when you get profiles to look at!!! Fingers crossed for you - if you need any help with anything just drop me a pm
GeorgiaW if you go to Flylady.net and look for the Zones section theres loads of detailed cleaning lists on there.
Anyway it's hubby's 30th birthday today and he's popping out this morning, so I'm going to have a good crack at everything while hes out. Glad it's bathrooms today cos ours needs a really good clean and we're having some friends over on Saturday night for a bit of a party so I want the place gleaming by then lol

Trying to "up" my income and rookie oldstyler0 -
Is it morning already?
Stopped up till 12:50 marking, then collapsed in bed but was surprised when my head wouldn't switch off. Did think of pulling an all nighter cos i didn't feel too sleepy, but then thought better of it, as i'm the wrong side of 21 for that.
Didn't even hear Charlie and DH get up, and woke about 8 but i don't feel too bad which is a surprise. Think it will be another busy day, but the pollen count doesn't seem too high so i might be better off there.
Charlie is watching his sign language DVD while i'm having breakie and on here. The music is a bit more soothing than the kiddies cartoons on the telly anyway.
Well, here's my list as i want to try and get on a bit better today, and enjoy house on the telly guilt free tonight.

Morning all.
Didnt get much done yesterday as I went to a group meeting in the evening. Every month a friend holds a session at her house where there is a guest speaker on holistic and complementary therapy. This week was Feng Shui. It was really interesting and she gave some fab tips about decluttering. Will post em in a new post for those that are having a go in their houses currently. Morning folks, have been wake since 5.30am thanks to the wee one, can they have nightmares at this age? He woke up screaming and seemed all frightened and took ages for me to calm him down so don't know what happened there. Put him in this with us but he was having none of it and after almost breaking my finger trying to get my wedding rings off DH got up with him and I had another cheeky hour. So, hes back in bed and so far I've managed to make DH lunch, cooked pasta for DS to add to defrosting sauce, veg and chicken, cut up the Christening cake and wrap, pack our bags for the day and get everything in the car (snook out in my dressing gown:o ) so we are ready for the off when we're both dressed.
ShirleyPark Hope your mad day goes okay
Emmie I tried just reading that!
AnWs Mum Been thinking of you, hope your all okay
Michelle - Don't you wear yourself out!
GeorgiaW Hello! I know what you with regards more detailed cleaning, think flying is more about doing the 'must do' things weekly and then I add my one monthly, couple of months things. Things like (and these are not meant to frighten you!) cleaning on top of kitchen cupboards, clean inside extractor fan/hood in the kitchen, hoover curtains, hoovering extractor fans in bathrooms cos they get clogged, cleaning my carpets, etc. As for dusting I do everywhere - things about, windowsills, pictures on wall, light fiitings, top of doors, curtain rails, etc. I've looked at loads of websites when I first started my rountines and then looked at each room and thought what needs doing every week, then monthly, then quarterly. This probably sounds dead sad but works for me and I spend less time as I just get on and do it without thinking about it. Think quite a few others doing the same HTH but remember flying is about baby steps so don't feel you've got to doing everything and clean everywhere straight away if you dont want to/have time. The more you do though, the more you realise needs doing:rotfl:

Baby on board!:D0 -
- Work on one aspect at a time - ie a drawer, cupboard etc
- Give it a good spring clean as you go
- If something broken either fix it or bin it
- Be ruthless - if you havent used or worn an item within the last 12 months then pass it on to someone who will enjoy or appreciate it
- Keep the best and bin the rest
- Ask yourself if something evokes negative memories or feelings - if so pass it on
- Dont feel obliged to accept or keep a gift - appreciate the intention and pass it on
- Try selling items in a car boot sale or on ebay to raise money towards something you really do want as an incentive
- Always think before you buy - do you really need this or will it have become clutter in 12 months time
- Get an independent opinion from a 3rd party if your struggling
- Always ask permission before binning someone else's belongings
HTH. They make sense for me and i did know them, it was just really nice to have it all written down as a positive thing to follow!0 -
I love that sign :rotfl: DD has already driven me round the bend, then the block, and then up the wall this morning. She made her own packed lunch (with a little bit of help...there's no way I'm letting her loose with a big kitchen knife! ) and sat down to breakfast at 7.30 then the questions started! I lost count of how many I answered and I've ended up posting one of them on another forum as I don't know the answer but someone there is bound to know itFinally left the house at 8.45 and the peace now she's at school (even with the washing machine currently on a spin and me typing) is BLISS
:D
I decluttered/re-arranged the airing cupboard last night (OH was editing music for something at work and I couldn't stand listening to "Las ketchup" one more time  ) and I managed to find £1.70 :rotfl: It must have fallen out of one of my handbags that I shoved in there the other day (it was loose so I probably missed it when I was emptying out my bag)Thats a whole £2.20 my cash has gone up by in 2 days (I keep finding coins in the street!) :j
It's quite a cloudy day here so I'm going to make the most of it and get out in the garden and get some more plants out in the beds as I would like to be able to use my garden table at some point this summer :rotfl:
