  • Hi,
I'm new to the forum and decided to see if I could buy my car insurance with my Amex Airmiles card through Quidco and low and behold Swiftcover [albeit not the best to go with] do accept Amex and I did it through Quidco with cashback of £28 / Just hope the Quidco cookie didnt crumble halfway through the transaction! Still waiting for it to appear in my 'Earnings' window.
  • The Subway restaurants around me dont take it.

  • B and Q no longer accept Amex. The young salesman at the counter did not now but there was a small. well scuffed and barely readable sticker on the counter which said that B and Q will not accept AMEX as from April 19th.

I have got hacked off enough with places that don't accept AmEx that I have now bitten the bullet and applied for the Halifax cashback credit card. I can't risk not having s75 protection on purchases from places that AmEx is a no-no.

Whether the AmEx card stays is yet to be decided.
