*lol* I've had many due dates for kiddie / baby comps. I also add hubby into comps and sometimes change the kids ages slightly, if they come up a year too young...

If I'm a smidge wary of a competition I'll slip up my dob, and I won't necessarily be truthful on "Why I want to win" something... just because it makes me feel awkward!0

No. If I win I win, if I don't I don't. You don't miss what you've never had etc ...
I can't even lie on those survey comps ... I just close the link and move on if the survey isn't relevant to me. I've had to prepare surveys before and I wouldn't want to skew results as I think it's rude.0 -
When it asks "How did you find out about this comp?" I never say "on MSE"0

I usually do a slight typo on my DOB just for security, tbh I don't see why they need a specific date rather than just a rough age bracket or year anyway, I find it a bit too intrusive - on some mags where I feel I might be too old or too young to fit their target market I will make the typo a decade out at least.. the prize is still suitable, it's come from promoters not the mag so I don't feel too guilty.
plus one of my pets may have been listed as a child on one comp as had to put a name and age (was somewhere I really wanted to go)
I never enter the 'why should you win/sob story type comps and never lie on survey type comps plus don't have the patience for filling in surveys on stuff I know nothing about anyway.0 -

Ha ha, love this about your pet, maybe I'll try that one! Are there many 1 year old babies called Tinkerbell? Might give me an advantage for the Disney comps!
I don't enter the why should you win ones either usually, although I can recall one where I had to describe my mum as a wine and thought as I was writing it what a load of rubbish it was. Don't get me wrong, she's a great mum but I thought I'd overdone it. I won that one :rotfl: - it was a picture frame but the glass was cracked as they hadn't packaged it properly. Probably karma, telling me not to tell porkies!
I also lied on my first post, I have also made up a due date and a child's birthday to enter baby related comps, which if I had won I would have passed on to a friend.0
