Thought while I was messing around on the computer that I would have a look at my credit file, but need to wait for a pin to come via post, so it said that would be within the next 5 working days. I'm sure there are going to be some ugly entries/surprises on there, but if I don't look I'll never know, and I want to have a clean slate before trying to move house in the next few years.
Sort of looking forward to reading it, and sort of not!!
Off to bed as DS did not sleep well last night, he was in between us breakdancing in his sleep.
Night all,

Grrrr! My internet is playing up tonight, and its just lost my reply!
Will update quickly as I'm heading to car boot in the morning, and I'm not even in bed yet!!
Have had a few more ideas for hubbys 40 things for 40 so will update those before I log off for tonight:
26: Where's Stig (found this on amazon, and can get for £1/£2, its like a top gear version of where's wally, think he'll find it funny)
27: Cocktail measures
28: Cocktail umbrella's or little paper fruits
29: Willowtree ornament (we collect these, so a significant one would be good)
I don't know if my number system has worked but I will check and maybe do one big list on one post tomorrow.
Night all!

Big good luck @ the car boot sale! Hope the rain says off! I can't wait to hear how you get on!
XxxMBNA = £4,000 / Next = £925 (approx. tbc on 19/8)
Tesco = £2,910.11 / Smile overdraft = £500
Bank of Scotland = £2,782.830 -
Almost at single figures for my payday countdown... woo hoo :j
So the car boot was relatively sucessful, after paying my space £15, putting in £15 petrol on the way home and taking off my small float, I had £56.75p - I was quite happy with that. The stuff I didn't sell, I took to a charity shop on the way home, so am pretty much clutter free. Have one large bag I took home with me, which has stuff I think I can sell on fb pages so will need to get that listed.
Moneywise its going to be a tight week. Our joint account is looking rather miserable so going to have to apply for an overdraft to keep us out of the red until after my payday. OH has a good credit rating so we should be okay there.
Speaking of credit ratings, I looked at mine the other night, and I am suspicious! My score is 914.... last time it was 126 or something low 120's. I think this may be because it only has my married name and you can't see anything from my old name. Not sure what to do about this, if I need to phone up and add my maiden name, or just leave it? I think the old defaults should have come off in June/July this year anyway, but I didn't think it would make that much of a difference to your score.
Anyway, off to try and sort this overdraft tonight online, as I will be losing sleep if I think that account is in a major mess too.
Hope you are all doing well,

Thought I would update my list, with the ideas I have, and how many of them I have got, the cost etc. My aim is to do it for less than the £130 I was quoted for having a cake made for him.
Got the socks today, and it was 5 pairs for £4, not 3 pairs, so if I wrap them in pairs, that boost me up 2 more numbers!

12. Canvas print of DS
13. An engraved pocket watch (that will be one of the bigger things)
14. Bottle of this baileys type stuff he uses to make cocktails
[STRIKE]15. Inflatable Walking Stick (£1.69 got from Amazon)[/STRIKE]

28: Cocktail measures
29: Cocktail umbrella's or little paper fruits

32: Digital Watch (Can get for around £10)
33: Easter egg with his name on (Bit of a personal joke)
34: "Pottering Shed" sign for his shed

I'm quite happy with my spends so far, and I think I will probably be able to do this within my budget.
I just need to think of another 4 items that he would like/use or find funny thats not going to take up too much space in our house!!1st Jan 2014 £20,600 / 1st Jan 2015 £15,572.90**Feeling Hopeful that 2015 will be our Debt Free Year**0 -
Well I'm down to single figures for payday... it really cannot come quick enough!! :j
Not a lot to report today, going for a family day to the cinema later because we're all off. Have got my mum to text for the Orange Wednesday 2 for 1 tickets so that we only have to pay for one adult. Have bought asda 3 for £1 on bags of sweets and will sneak some in for the kids in little tubs so that we don't have to spend a fortune on sweets from the cinema.
Our joint account looks like it might survive this month, we managed to get the OD set up, so that will at least avoid fee's (£47 last month in fees for going over it unathorised). Will be keeping an eye on it and making sure that its all okay.
Have a couple of things to stick on the selling pages later but that will be once we come back from the cinema.
Really can't wait for payday, so I can start making progress!!
Hope everyone has a good day,

Roll on payday for Mrs S!
Mine isn't until the last day of the month but hubbys is the 25th of the month meaning he will get it on the 23rd this month so not too long to wait.
Well done on sorting the OD - £47 on fees is heart breaking!
I hope you enjoyed the cinema

Hi SammyJo and welcome to my diary
I do tend to rant a bit, but bear with me and I'm sure we'll be able to spur each other along!!
Hi OF - yes that £47 was such a sinking feeling!! I know £47 isn't the end of the world but when you're trying so hard, its like "give me a break!" Your hubby will have the same payday as me this month :money: Cinema was good, we all loved Gru and his minions!!
So I was thinking this month was going to be much more comfortable with more spare money, but alas, fate has thrown another bill my way. The final bill for our wedding has come in, so we owe £296. Not too bad considering the whole thing was around £7000, I guess the bill could have had a 1 in front of that and it doesn't so will need to pay that on Friday when I get paid.
Have been feeling quite stressed and down about money again today, OH has just given me the pep talk, we still managed to eat out twice this week, we've caught the joint account BEFORE its gone over an unauthorised OD etc etc. I just let it all get to me sometimes.
Will also be rid of the evil/awful/terrible pay day loan this month - which I will never ever ever ever ever ever get involved in again!!
Another thing coming up is my cars road tax and MOT, I'm sceptical that it will pass. I usually put it back to the dealership I bought it from, but last year they pulled me up for not having it serviced and I STILL haven't had it serviced  This is only its 3rd MOT and it passed the first 2 no problem, but I am anticipating it will fail just because thats how things have gone recently!! I would imagine parts aren't going to be cheap for it if it needs anything (its one of the notoriously expensive german brands) so I am crossing everything its okay.
Will get hubby to look it over, he thinks it will be fine, but I am just airing on the side of caution. Would be fabulous it if passed. Because of the finance deal I took it on, I will have to change it before its due the MOT next year (or fork out a baloon payment of £6k for a 7 year old car which I don't want to do) so will have to start looking into that soon too.
Appart from that another quiet weekend for us.
Hope everyone is having a good MSE Weekend,
