Hi All,
Thanks for your replies Scottishspendaholic and OrangeFairy.
Not an awful lot to report really. Just managing to scrape by! Have just looked at the title of this and realised 23 days time is a Sunday, and if our payday lands on a Sunday, we get it on the previous Friday, so its actually only 21 days til payday :T
Have had to be really bad and use the CC for Petrol which I'm quite annoyed at myself about, but hopefully won't need to use the car next week as I'm off work on holiday, so we can walk to most parks and things, so shouldn't need more petrol. I had no other choice, so just have to lump it.
I have had a couple of people interested in items on selling pages, but no bites as yet. I'm sure things will move eventually. While I'm off next week I'm hoping to do a room per day in the house, get it all cleaned, skirtings washed down and the rooms declutered. Hoping to do the carboot next weekend so Sunday 11th.
Not getting on well at all with the savings things Scottishspendaholic, I've had to dip into it for food shopping but will replace when I get paid. I just can't wait to get on an even keel again. I sometimes wonder if I will ever learn.
Meal out was nice, was £15 which wasn't too bad, and it was lovely to see some old friends too and catch up. You are right about some things being too important to miss.
Hope you all have a lovely Friday,

Love your idea of 40 presents for your Hubby. Are there any DVD's you could pick up cheap? I know on my local FB selling site people sell them for around £1 each so you could pick up some bargains. £1 shops and the such can also be a good place to pick bits up. Can not wait to see your finished list
I think you might need a chat with your hubby though about how you've been feeling recently. Sounds like you need some support from him xTotal Debt at LBM - £19107.03Total now - £11091.220 -
Hi Sammr85, thanks for your post. I've been working on my list and its now looking like the following:
1. Colin McRae book (Ordered from Amazon £2.81)
2. Bag of his favourite sweets (can get in the shops when they are £1)
3. Bottle of something fizzy
4. Socks
5. Socks
6. Socks
7. Canvas print of him (Will wait for an offer)
8. Canvas print of me
9. Canvas print of DD
10. Canvas print of DS
11. An engraved pocket watch (that will be one of the bigger things)
12. Bottle of this baileys type stuff he uses to make cocktails
13. Inflatable Walking Stick (£1.39 ordered from Amazon)
14. Old Gents PJ's - he has mentioned these before so am sure he'll wear them!
15: A pipe - seen on amazon for (Ordered from Amazon (£2.81)
16. A Gents Flat Cap (Still Game style!)
17. Some Grecian 2000 or Just for Men Hair Dye
18. Scratch Card
19. 40th Birthday Badge
20. Favours Cheque Book (maybe a naughty one!)
21. Cupcakes or a birthday cake (I could make this)
22. xbox game
23. Lego Man USB (seen on ebay)
24. Lottery ticket
The only thing with DVD's is that he downloads things as soon as he can to watch them, he's a bit of a pain where thats concerned!!
Will update the list again soon as I get more ideas... I can see me struggling once I get up to 30ish things!! Scottishspendaholic mentioned the wrapping paper for 40 gifts, but there's a market stall at our local car boot sale that sells 10 sheets of giftwrap for £1 so will head there and get some paper.
Quite excited by this, it should be fun to do
Hubby is having a bit of a stressful time at work just now, so don't want to go and load him down with my woes... we'll get there. Just roll on payday so I can start to see/feel a difference

You really are getting there Mrs S. 24 things is great, I am sure a trip to the shops will find you things you haven't though of.
I am sorry hubby is having a stressful time at work. I hope things get easier for both of you soon.
Don't beat yourself up about using the CC for petrol. It is just one of those things. As you say - things should get easier and level out over the next few months.
Have a wonderful Sunday

Well I have neglected my diary for a few days, and its been a stressful few days! Have been in hospital with DS. He ingested a large amount of salt, so phoned NHS 24 and they said take him straight to A&E. So spent Saturday in hospital after we were admitted, and was tested and poked and prodded beyond belief! He was okay, and seems to be fine thankfully, but all you mummys out there - salt can be fatal to little ones if ingested in big enough quantities so beware!!
On the money front, not a lot to report. Am off work this week, but finding it really hard to get any sort of cleaning out done with the kids around. Am trying to list bits and pieces on the selling pages locally and will do a car boot on Sunday.
Have had another few ideas for OH's 40 things for 40, so they are below. I will just add on my ideas, and list the whole list when I reach 40 things. He was on about an "old school" digital watch, so could get one from Amazon for around £6 I think. He was also on about easter eggs at the weekend, and I said, right I will get one for your birthday - and he said, no way will you get one in September! But I am sure I could get one with his name on it from Thorntons... will have to look into that.
25. Digital Watch (Can get for around £10)
26. Easter egg with his name on (Bit of a personal joke)
Will be racking my brains for the other 14 ideas, was thinking maybe number 40 could be a big 40 balloon and I could have all the presents 1-39 lined up with the balloons at the end. Will see how I get on - ideas are welcome!

Glad DS is OK although I bet he was wondering what all the fuss was about lol Kids who'd have em!! My DD2 managed to get into the bleach bottle which DH stupidly put under the sink  Luckily she was fine NHS direct were great she didn't need to go to hospital. DH has now learnt a harsh lesson bleach belongs in the high cupboard in the utility room!!
Good luck with the car boot sale I hope the weather is nice for you xTotal DebtLoan [STRIKE]£2500[/STRIKE]£2284.97

Hi Ladies, yes DS is a little monkey, and gave us a scare, but thankfully he is okay now!
Not a lot to report on the money front, been and done the weekly shop, which came in at £53, seems to be my magic number in Aldi's at the moment! Had to put in £10 of petrol so will transfer the rest to joint account later.
Have been checking the weather and my car boot sale, and our camping trip may be in jeopardy... the forecast in the area is rain, rain rain!! Part of me is hoping it doesn't come to that, and part of me is thinking, it would save a tiny bit of cash, and mean we could just chill out at home, but we'll see.
Think I'm off to sort out music on my phone, so that I can start walking again - if it ever dries up here! I wouldn't say I'm overweight, but I am extremely lazy and have a pretty rubbish diet, so need to get healthy.
Off to bump some of my FB selling page listings, nothing has shifted yet this week.
