I am getting there with the payday countdown!!
What I keep forgetting is that its also only 5 days til I am free of the PDL :money:I had really hoped that I would have been able to make overpayments to that this month, but it hasn't happened. I'm just glad that it will be gone this time next week. Onwards and upwards.
Not much else to report really, just desperate for Friday!! I am hoping to do a plan for the month of September, so that at some point in October, we can do a £1000 payment to our debts. We worked out we must take home around £3000 per month so we should EASILY manage this.
I know this is maybe a bit optimistic, but any overpayment is good, and if I have a figure in mind then it will give me something to work towards.
Will be back tomorrow night, have decided no more surfing at work, even at lunchtime as I end up too distracted. If I am to work myself into a payrise, I need to knuckle down!!
Hope everyone had a good weekend,

Getting ever so close to payday - I can't wait to get some bits and pieces paid!!
Not a lot to report on the money front, I managed to have a sort of NSD at work today, I took my own lunch etc. Did have to go to the shop for packed lunch stuff tonight for tomorrow for me and the kids though!
Our kids are back to school tomorrow, feeling a bit nervous and anxious for our daughter, she's back to school but the classes are all muddled up from last year, so she's not in the same class as her best friend - a big deal at 6 years old! I'm sure she will be fine, she knows other kids in the class and is a chatty bubbly girl.
Would love to say tomorrow will be a NSD but I am going to need petrol to make it home from work..... I WILL manage 1 this week!!

Hi
Just caught up I wouldn't bother contacting the credit agency'syou generally have to give your maiden name on any applications for 5 years anyway.
Your kids go back much sooner than mine, hope there first day goes well.Total DebtLoan [STRIKE]£2500[/STRIKE]£2284.97

... and then its another month of being skint!! I'm getting there slowly I suppose!
Have just been looking at numbers for the next month. Once my pay is in the bank on Friday it will pretty much dissappear. We got a final bill in for the wedding (£300) so will have to pay that, and with the QQ Loan of £312.50 that pretty much eats up any spare cash there was.
The bright side of this is that I SHOULD have £612.50 more spare money next month, than I do this month so I will just have to sit tight.
The good news is, that I can still afford my car repayment, road tax, payment of £550 to the joing account and the other bits and pieces that come out each month like car insurance etc before it is back to zero! Hubby will have to fund the food shopping for the next few weeks, then we'll be back on the straight and narrow I hope.
Any extra that I do have manage to get from selling bits and pieces I will put in a separate bank account and if its not needed for essentials it will be used to put towards a big overpayment that I hope to make on 1st October. I'm hoping this can be £1000 but we will have to try really hard for this - although if I have £600 more than this month then technically speaking it shouldn't be difficult.
We'll see! Anyway, off to do some more number crunching and planning.

Just a quick update, as I've just received a statement for the sainsburys loan in the post. Its more than I thought because it looks like we only took it out last year, and I thought it was the year before. So the balance on the statement is £10,024.56 but that doesn't include the repayment for August which was £196.56, so the new balance is £9828.00 but theres about £46 of interest to add on, so its just under £10k.
More than I had thought, but then its a year newer than I thought too so I guess can't complain.
Off to update my signature, and think of ways to increase whats coming in to go against this - I want rid!!!1st Jan 2014 £20,600 / 1st Jan 2015 £15,572.90**Feeling Hopeful that 2015 will be our Debt Free Year**0 -
Hey Mrs S,
Was thinking about you & your payday countdown earlier! What a shame it's all gone practically as soon as it gets to you, but at least you are on track & managing to pay everything.
My children went back on Wednesday, we've had such an eventful week already - bumped head, bee sting...what next?!?
XxxMBNA = £4,000 / Next = £925 (approx. tbc on 19/8)
Tesco = £2,910.11 / Smile overdraft = £500
Bank of Scotland = £2,782.830 -
Woo Hoo - its payday!! :j
As you said scottishspendaholic, its pretty much gone before I got it, but thats life I suppose.
Have been on the online bank and transferred the money to cover the cheque for the wedding. Transferred money to the joint account, the car account and was thinking I had a bit more left than I thought when I realised that I haven't done my car road tax yet, so will need to do that when I get home.
The GREAT news is that the payment for the PDL has come off, although its not showing up on my statement yet, the money has been deducted which I am quite happy about. Will update my signature after this post.
Scared to feel optimistic about next months wages because something always creeps along to mess it up!!
Will still aim for the £1000 overpayment on 1st October, although I fear this is extremely optimistic, we'll aim for it and see how we go.
Have a good Friday everyone!

Also forgot to add that I have sold a pair of shoes for £40, and possibly almost some baby toys for £20. That would have normally been sent towards the overpayment account, but I have "bought" a few things from people on selling sites for the kids christmases, so £40 for a digital camera for my daughter, and £15 for some duplo blocks for my son - thats for now, and its to keep him away from DD's Lego Friends!!
So I should end up £5 in profit, which I will of course, put in the overpayment pot!! :money:
I've just been to the vending machine for a can of juice (as its payday) and I got my can plus my £1 back, and a free pack of sweets for completing a survey on the cafe.... happy days!

Hi Diaryland,
Just came on to update my signature, so thought I would quickly post. Have made minimum payment to the credit card, so that takes the balance down slightly.
Got the baby toys sold today, so have £20 in my purse to pay in, didn't have time today. Will do that tomorrow. I think I might be able to put more than the £5 profit in towards my overpayment fund, but will check my spreadsheets and figure that out. I don't want to put money in there and then have to take it out again if I can help it.
Have a few things to list for sale so will try and get those done tomorrow.
Almost had a NSD today, but went to make tea and didn't have the vital ingredients so had to nip to the shops.... I WILL manage some NSD's at some point!!
Hope you are all doing well,
