Hi MrsSmith
Sorry I haven't been around. Sounds like you have been having a rough ride recently, things will improve for you soon. You sound far too determined to let everything get the better of you.

Hi Little-miss and welcome back! Its good to see you on here again. It seems like its been one thing after another at the moment, but hopefully on the up now! I am trying to stay determined to get rid of this debt, but you know how it is, sometimes you just think.... bleurgh!!
So the money update for today is:
Have a few bits and peices that are selling on fb / gumtree type places so won't actually allocate that money to anything until its in hand. Have a few more things to add to sell too so will hopefully get that done over the weekend.
Update to my list is as follows:
[STRIKE]* Do a Menu to last til Tuesday[/STRIKE][STRIKE]
* Do a shop for said Menu[/STRIKE]
* Clean out Fridge
* Sort out DD's wardrobe (from last list)
* Clean Floors (Kitchen / living room)
* Dust Living Room
* Catch up with washing - Last Load is in as I type!
[STRIKE]* Hoover Kids Rooms[/STRIKE][STRIKE]
* Was down banister
* Hoover Stairs
* Wash Windows[/STRIKE]
* Do weeding (IF weather permits)
I must admit, I am finding doing lists on here the most effective way to get me to actually do anything!!
Its quite a nice morning here, so I think because I'm on track with the list (kinda) I might just go and wander up to the park with the kids for a bit. They are being quite good just now, depsite being up at 6/6:30 in the morning.... :eek:
Will pop back over the weekend,

hi Mrs S
I hope you are managing to stay on track moneywise- we will need to spur each other along
I am feeling a bit rubbishy lately. I'm not ill- just don't feel myself. Need to relax a little and get some me time. I used my voucher to use a floatation tank at the weekend and that was fabulous! I would happily do that a couple of times a month if it was cheaper. At £25 a session it is quite a luxury!

Hey,
I thought about you today when I realised the date! Did you manage to get an overpayment sorted for today? I hope you did, even if its not as much as you had hoped, as I know you really wanted to.
How did your hubbie's 40th go?
XxxMBNA = £4,000 / Next = £925 (approx. tbc on 19/8)

Hi OF and SSA, thanks for popping by... sorry I've been completely missing in action recently, I've had a family member take ill, quite badly and unfortunately passed away so its been a rubbish few weeks
Have the funeral at the weekend and then I will try and get back to some sort of normality.
Only made the £40ish overpayment that I had sitting I'm afraid Scottishspendaholic, I'm thinking I'm going to just have to aim to have the balance down below £7k within the next few weeks and that will be a bit of headway.
Will pop back on next week after I've had a proper look at money.

Well after a strange few weeks, I am back to my diary... and hopefully will get some debt busting done this time. I've not really been looking at money much over the past few weeks, just getting by really... I think this month might be a bit tight now between now and payday, I have another 2 weeks to go
On the plus side though, I have had a good news letter last week at work with a payrise, which gives me an extra couple of hundred pounds per month, so hoping that can help make a difference. Does anyone use the salary calculator dot com (with no spaces) to work out wages? It was the first thing that came up on google and it seemed to give you the option to put in your tax code, pension, student loan details etc. So if thats right I should have a bit extra at the end of the month.
Have decided while having several periods of pondering over the past while that I am going to do this week by week, I'm putting too much pressure on myself by trying to save up £1000 to make overpayments - will do it week by week and see how it goes.
This will have to mean putting most of my pay in to the joint account and then using what OH puts in each week as the overpayment money, but I think this will work better as its weekly.
No major plans for the weekend, going to clear out kids toys and see what we can get rid of.
Hope you are all doing well on your debt busting journeys and I will try and catch up on diaries over the weekend.

Just a quick update as I don't seem to be tired unfortunately
Trying not to get too stressed about money, and waiting to see what my new pay will be like this month. Hopefully a good one, but we'll see in 11 days.
Will try and pop in a bit more this week, I have left this diary to sliiiiide recently, and its not good for my debt busting.

Just a quick post because I've made a small payment towards the credit card. I'm going to keep a track of them on a spreadsheet but will also include them in my diary. I need to sit down and do some spreadsheets and I will also need to fix my signature on here, will try and do this and get back in the saddle this week.

So today has been an okay money day. I did have brekkie at work, which is only 20p for toast, tea is free
I have just paid another £6.00 off the credit card to round it down to a even number. I think I might get quite into the payment a day thing, although it may be payment every few days with me. Does this have any sort of impact on your credit score if you are paying a little bit each day, does anyone know?
Family allowance is in the bank today, which is a massive help - I had it on my calendar for next week, so that was a pleasant surprise. Desperately needed petrol so put in £30 which gave me just under half a tank... greedy car!
Have an item that I've sold pending payment, so once I get that, I will put that towards the card too. Found a cheque from our old internet provider with a refund or £8.78 or some other random amount so will go and pay that in tomorrow and when it clears will pay that off the card too.
Hope you are all having positive MSE Days too,
Mrs S x
