  • Woo Hoo - I seem to be back to daily updates and managing almost daily payments to the credit card!! I have had a relatively MSE day, didn't but any lunch today at work because I didn't have time... not ideal I know but never mind!

    The lady collected the baby thing I sold so that was another £10. I've kept it in my purse and have paid £10 off the credit card. Will just mean I don't have to withdraw cash when I need.

    Will need to do a food shop tonight, but OH will transfer money for that.

    Other than that, not a lot else to add, appart from I hope my motivation stays at this level!!

  • Have been to the bank today to pay in the cheque for £7.87 so once that clears, I will pay that off the card too. Have a load of jobs to do today for going away next week for the October break, but I am now off work so will get things done before heading off on Saturday.

    My list for this afternoon (if I can do it in between referee'ing the kids!) is:

    * Clean the downstairs bathroom (inlaws coming for dinner tomorrow)
    * Catch up with washing / tumble drying
    * Make cheesecake for desert for tomorrow
    * Clean kitchen worktops etc
    * Start packing for going away
    * Dust bedroom

    Will maybe pop back on later,

    Hi Mrs S, so sorry to hear of your loss.

    Well done on the PADing. I do it to and I think it's fab. Those little bits soon add up

  • Thanks Sammr, yes it does feel good making those extra little payments. I'll try and keep it up, it has been keeping me motivated this last week, so thats always good.

    Am away from tomorrow for the week, so may not get on here much. Will try and keep it as MSE as possible, going to stay with family so should be easy-ish to do as there's lots of great walks etc around where they are.

    Its payday next week too, so will hopefully manage to sort out a plan to do some bigger overpayments throughout November.

    Have a good weekend y'all....

  • I thought I would update my diary to try and keep me motivated, waiting for some pics of items to sell uploading as I type.

    Have been a terrible grumpy mother/wife this evening, I'm snapping at everyone and everything. I am on tablets for hormonal/women's issues and I think they are partly to blame because I went away and forgot to take them with me, so have had a gap of 4 days :S Poor kids, I'm sure they are going to be emotially damaged because of me and my weepy outbursts.

    Payroll managed to screw up my pay this month and so my payrise isn't in the bank. I don't even want to look to be honest... I've paid what needs paying and will look at it over the weekend. Its gonna be ugly though, I had my monthly plan sorted based on the payrise.

    Off to see if my pics have uploaded, fingers crossed for some sales. Will head to bed soon and see if I can wake up happier....

    Hi Mrs S

    Sorry to hear work messed up your pay packet! What a pain in the butt!!

    I hope you are doing okay. I am just hoping to get through the next couple of month unscarred with no extra money going on the cc for Xmas!

    Don't worry about being a grumpy wife/mother from time to time! We all get that :)

  • I'm back! Need to get back into this and get debt busting while trying to have a good but economical christmas!!

    Total pain in the butt OF, but I'm almost counting the days til payday again, its the 25th this month, so a week on Monday. Will just have to glory on until then.

    So I've been really rubbish at overpayments and have only paid the minimums this month because of the payroll screw up for October.

    As a result of this I have no idea what my November pay will be because I will have the extra backdated to October and the increase for Novembers as well, so I will just have to wait. Sometimes we can view payslips online so will look at the end of next week so that I can plan.

    Appart from that, I don't have much of an update, just need to plan plan plan because I really want to be rid of this debt by this time next year, or be pretty close to being rid of it.

  • I found your diary and i have subscribed!

    don't worry about the minimum payments this month, when they have sorted out your pay for your next pay day then you can get right back on track! i'm on the count down to pay day too as i'm paid the day after you. its so near yet so far!

    good luck with the planning and focus on pay day week after next! x
  • Hi Penguin! Welcome to my diary, thanks for stopping by!

    We're having a lazy day at home today, so I'm planning on doing lots of tidying and clearing out. Am hoping we will be able to sell some toys/clothes etc from the clear out. Am keeping boxes for taking stuff to a car boot sale in the spring time so if I don't manage to sell anything I will just put it in the boxes and take it to the car bootie.

    Hope you are all having an MSE Weekend.... this time next week will be payday eve.... woo hoo!!

  • Really need to get my MSE head back on... sitting at work lacking motivation and looking at my debt busting spreadsheet losing the will to live!

    I need to get back to daily payments or something, because I'm going to drive myself insane otherwise.
