Morning all
Hoping today will be my first SFD - I had something to buy from Amazon but got a refund from a returned item today so used those funds to buy it.
Lunch brought in from home (spinach and chickpea curry with brown rice), snacks are fruit, value crisps and Aer0 bubble bars), tea will probably be pasta, need to make a cheese sauce though.
Had a good night last night at the SFF free screening, just bought a bag of popcorn and some water beforehand (£1.79 as bought a friend's popcorn too as she was bringing fruit salad). Then used train pass for free travel home.

I haven't yet worked out how to do the sigs
But in total, my debts are circa £22,500 spread over CC, mortgage arrears and small ish amount to family
I live by myself and am self employed. This last year has been dire work wise which in turn led to my LBM. I sell what I can on eBay and do as many mystery shops as I'm able to boost the money. At present, I'm looking into a part time job, even if its short termLBM.....sometime in 2013 £27,056. 10 creditors
June 20.....£7,587.....3 creditors left 72% paid
£26,200 on interest only part of mortgage (July 16)...will chip away £17,103
£49,200 repayment mortgage ( July 16) £37,7640 -
How did you get on? I do the phone calculator thing too... It doesn't go well when I just shop!
It went really well thanks. I had the hubby with me who wanted to buy everything not on my list. But I had a budget of £27 and I managed to get everything for £27.71. I'm really chuffed! Even hubby was on the case towards the end of the shop. I used my phone calculator to add everything up and it worked well. I also found out that the scan as you shop service at Mr T adds everything up as you go round, so I may use that next week.
Today should be my first SFD of the month. I'm feeling really good today. I have got a few things that I am going to donate to the charity shop (stuff that won't go on e-bay), I also have some stuff to list today. Weekend after next I'm going to a free music festival, so I'm going to use that as one of my £5 outings.October make £10/day currently £11.020 -
Groceries: £75/£300
Fun: £0/£100
Debt paid: £0/£460
SFD: 0/20
Kat, It's a new credit card so I need to wait for my first statement to find out the info I need to be able to pay online through my bank. I put £315 on it last month but thought I'd have received a statement by now to have been able to pay it off at the end of June but it's not arrived yet. I've added another £145 to it this weekend with the intention of paying it off as soon as I get paid on the 19th July. Does that make sense?
Yesterday ended up being a bigger spend than planned. I went to buy some catlitter and ended up buying a hooded litter tray too as I'm tired of brushing up after the kitties twice a day. Thing is Harley thinks it's great fun to hide in it and wallop any of the others who try to get in it to use it!0 -
Can I join? I did my accounts for June last night and they were horrendous, Ive really fallen off the wagon with being MSsavvy and could do with quite a lot of no spend days!''A moment's thinking is an hour in words.'' -Thomas Hood0

Morning lovelies
SFD no 2 today wooo hooo!!
Went with DH to look at the house today - I need to get an estate agents camera - how do they make the rooms look so huge.:D It needs a serious amount of work - has cracks in the cob walls holes in the kitchen ceiling and the extra garden/grassland/meadow is across the lane. We came away and decided that for the money and the work its not special enough or big enough. The boiler, electrics had stickers on condemning them - the water is from a bor hole which has its filter housed in a shed that is falling to bits. Has anyone ever seen the money pit film with Tom Hanks? Think that but on a much smaller scale!!
So pressure is off - work to do - I confess I am slightly relieved!
Happybeingme - have you tried BHS - not trendy but they do some cracking dresses for my daughter.
Love to all

Woohoo, NSK you're thread is in the email again.
Ok here we go. This month will be UEBER-THRIFTY. Firstly because I went and bought a few pair of shoes and a top last month and ended up about £300 in my OD (not just from the shoes though). Plus I gave OH by mistake £100 too much this month for bills but will leave it and just give him 100 less next month. And I spend a bit when we were away last weekend. And I put £400 into the DPM-ISA. But I also already did a biggish food shop and bought meat from the butcher. So my total budget for the month is £100. DS got enough nappies, freezer and cupboards are semi-well stocked, so we'll see how that goes.
Bit annoyed. Ordered a jumper but they ran out of stock in my size and said they refunded my money to paypal that day. But paypal is now holding it since Friday. Why?DEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/250 -
Okay after today I will stop adding peeps.. Thrifty and Raven you are in.. so WELCOME!!
Raven tell us about yourself please..“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent".0 -
LAGL - I know EXACTLY what you mean about the camera lens they use - must be one of those concave or convex lenses that stretch the walls and ceiling by 10 feet either way. Glad you are relieved though.....having avoided the place blowing up by the sounds of things... or collapsing on your head...
Thrifty have you only opened the paypal account. They can be annoying with new accounts and hold money.. unless they suspect fraud.. from elsewhere not from you...“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence.
