Thrifty have you only opened the paypal account. They can be annoying with new accounts and hold money.. unless they suspect fraud.. from elsewhere not from you...
Thanks for having me again.
No, had the paypal account for ages and use it regularly. Maybe it's because I paid the company for the jumper and almost instantly they cancelled the order because they ran out of stock.DEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/250 -
LAGL - I know EXACTLY what you mean about the camera lens they use - must be one of those concave or convex lenses that stretch the walls and ceiling by 10 feet either way. Glad you are relieved though.....having avoided the place blowing up by the sounds of things... or collapsing on your head...
Funny you should mention blowing up - apparently 2 WWII bombs landed in the field in front of the house and the cob has had cracks ever since - nice chat with the neighbour before the estate agent arrived :rotfl: Anyways plans are afoot - going to look at the cottage from middle earth next week.....
Love LAGL xxDebt free on the 28/05/130 -

Right count down to leaving the work place.. been on travel websites a little too often today. NEED rid of this debt so I can start saving to exploring the world. LAGL - glad you didn't blow up then. But they do say arrive early and choose different times to "drive by" to check the place out.....
I have two girly friends over to play later on today... I shall be creating spicy burrito thingy's with wholemeal wraps and TONS of salad with a spicey mince/kidney bean chilli of sorts... I will see where my little experiemental culinary fingers will take me.. #Ilovefood..
I shall check in later tonight when I settle infront of the box with puddy-tat! She is being super lovely recently save for the odd scratch-attack. I think she is becoming more comfortable with the pooch...
Right away with me..... (SFD for me)...YEAH!!!“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent".0 -
Hi NSK and other yompers,
I would love to join but will be busy with work and side projects so wouldn't be able to check in every day. It's a pity as the food budgeting and SFDs really helped. I shall be back in August.
Good luck everybody.Debt-Free day 30th September 20140 -
Whoop whoop, new phone line and broadband connection done! Can't wait to check in from my sofa tonight (if it all works ok!)! I am away Thursday to Saturday, so I may be checking in at stupid o'clock on Thursday morning before I leave and then Saturday eventing when I get back! Plus if I can get a connection whilst away I will check in on Friday too. It's not a holiday but is a planned time away from computer so I won't be messing up my budgets or SFD's.October make £10/day currently £11.020

Hi everyone,
Had our second SFD today. Technically I did spend quite a lot but it was all saved from last month so doesn't count :j
My budgets for this month are
Food £120
Entertainment £80
Petrol £80
Unplanned spends £40
Planned spends £50
Decorating fund £164.57/£1500
DH and I have a new goal which is to save up approximately £1500 so we can have the hall, landing, stairs and living rooms redecorated by professionals. It's something that really needs doing and if we want to try and sell in the next 18 months will help. Got my first quote and getting 2 more on Friday. The plan is to get it all done in October when baby is a few months old. With this in mind if we don't spend on something planned such as craft club this afternoon, then that money can go in the pot.TOTAL DEBT £12,212.46/£2000 paid offDebt Free Goal September 2017#106 Emergency Fund £482.53/£10000 -

Grrrrrrr:mad:
I know this is going to sound really stupid but I've just got home from work to find a whole pack of perfectly good tomatoes in the bin. Hubby said one was on the turn so he threw out the whole packet. I was even tempted to pick them out of the bin and put them back!
I'm trying so hard and yet things seem to get in the way.........
Rant over!
Hubby has been told, I don't think he will be doing it again. I've probably frightened him from going near the fridge or the bin again!!! :rotfl:October make £10/day currently £11.020
