1/20 SFD
£124.50/£150 Food budget
£50/£50 Petrol
£0/£40 Personal care
£0/£60 going out cash
Day2
I have no leeway for cash emergencies as I have paid every spare bit of cash into the CC ...I will use this if the need arises..I cannot see why as yet ...but we all know what happens...
I have enough in for at least 2 weeks...plus store cupboard...
Hopefully will come in under on my food budget...attendance at social do's. of course if I am paid for
A planned breakfast, one family get together, one unplanned early grand daughter  So I think I am on track for a well planned out July..

Evening,
My first SFD, also phoned and downgraded my homecare package to just boiler cover saving me another 10 pnd this month. Trying a new tactic with my online bank a/c's, Instead of current a/c and savings a/c i have renamed them as Persistance & Determination and I WILL be debt free, so when i login every morning i will be less tempted to go and take money out. Made a pot of veg and lentil soup for lunch and had dinner at my oldest girls tonight. Avogirly - I love tomatoes and would have raided bin and washed them!!Total debt - £16,687.86 approx. - Paid so far - £13,156.30 - £350. a month to DMP - DFD 17/01/2019 But I WILL make it sooner!!0 -
So I've added up the pre-challenge spending (otherwise known as payday splurging) and the food I bought yesterday... I was a very badly behaved MSE'er yesterday and I bought lunch
I NEVER buy work lunches. But I was shockingly disorganised and didn't even have anything to put in a sandwich yesterday. So, that minor slip up aside, budgets are standing as follows:
Food £38.80/£80 [ that pesky bought lunch, and payday fermented grape juice treats ]
Petrol £43.27
Spending £3.45“Obstacles are those frightful things you see when you take your eyes off your goals.”

And lastly, drum roll please............
And I must add, that all out lads and lasses in the Forces deserve our support!!!
You should be very proud. Sorry only wanted to quote this bit. But I couldnt agree more. They do alot for this country but dont always get the recognition they deserve.0 -

This may be old news but I have now started leaving my wallet at home, so I am not tempted by the numerous shops/sandwich/cake shops close to my work. At least I know I cant spend anything then. It seems to be working:-) i figured out that i can spend upto £25 a week in these local shops on fizzy drinks and sweets and some fruit. Well no more.0 -
Thanks for having me
About me - I have a partner, 3 kids, dog, cat and live in Wiltshire where I make jewelery, music and magazines and sell them as part of my self employed-ness, however, I havent made any profit this year so my future is not certain.
Im not exactly in debt any more thanks to this site and a change of circumstances, but I dont want to go back there either, so clamping down hard on spending now instead of waiting til its too late!
So far-
Jul 1st - no spend
Jul 2nd - spent money on petrol but got a weeks worth for once, so no topping up and spending on extras in the garage during the next week!
Now going to work on my budgets for the month - food, kids stuff and petrol.
I take it that a spend on yellow sticker stuff is not counted as a spend day??''A moment's thinking is an hour in words.'' -Thomas Hood0 -
Good morning people,
A really quick catch up before I launch myself into the manicness of spreadsheets and missing reports......
- Yesterday was SFD number 1 :j
- This month's budget is now sitting in a tupperware dish in the house as a reminder that this month is CASH ONLY (except for petrol)
- Excellent feedback received from 3 of the sales (big thing to me as I'm only just in to double figures for feedback:o)
- Boss brought in posh dog food for me pooches - even the several kilos that he brought in costs more than the normal dog food but as Diego Dorgi needs to go on a diet we would have needed to buy this anyway - so cheap is better
As a consequence today is not a SFD - as I have to pay for said dog food. Bang goes 7.5% of the budget - Diego had better appreciate this
So as it stands:SFD - 1/20
Budget £15/£200
3 x £5 days out - 0/3
De-clutter 0/100
Anyway - work now calls - back to the world of global chaos. Have a good day folksDebts 07/12/2021

Not a SFD day for me today as had to pay £1.50 for the bus to a hospital appointment - would have walked but couldn't get an earlier train as nursery doesnt open early enough so a bus was necessary. Needless to say I've been here 15.minutes past my appointment time and I'm still waiting...
Hopefully that will be the only spend today as I've made dinner although am now thinking if I get the food we need for tomorrow today then tomorrow can be a SFD!My debt free diary | Post Office loan: £2131 1429.38 | Barclaycard: £4429 1988.12 | Paypal Credit £322.71 574.91 | Monzo Flex £169.03 |
Total £4151.44 | £2900.30 of £7051.74 paid off since diary started October 2024.0 -
Grrrrrrr:mad:
I know this is going to sound really stupid but I've just got home from work to find a whole pack of perfectly good tomatoes in the bin. Hubby said one was on the turn so he threw out the whole packet. I was even tempted to pick them out of the bin and put them back!
I'm trying so hard and yet things seem to get in the way.........
Rant over!
Hubby has been told, I don't think he will be doing it again. I've probably frightened him from going near the fridge or the bin again!!! :rotfl:
Hope he learnt his lesson. I sorted through a packet of blueberries yesterday and only threw the mouldy ones and kept the rest after rinsing. They'll be fine
. I mean, ok there is a limit. I cut mould of cheese but not bread as it's meant to be in the whole loaf once it starts but only on the outside of cheese.
Had tortellini for tea last night and made extra sauce to have on our HM pizza tonight. Today is SFD number 2. Did get some decluttering done yesterday but only half an hour as a cousin came round unexpectedly. Hopefully get some more done tonight or the conservatory blinds cleaned and the lawn mowed. Anything to keep me busy and stay off the fags.DEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/250
