I gave him a piece of cooked chicken last night about an inch square cut up and even then he left some of that! My plan is to put a bit on top of wet cat food to see if will encourage him to eat the pouches I bought him. I know his biscuits are a complete meal but I think cats should have a bit of meat in their diet too.
The other cats would eat £1 of meat without it even touching the sidesDiary: Getting back on track for 2013 and beyondDEBT FREE 13-10-13 :dance::dance::dance::dance:

Lilian, I think if a £2.99 obsession with Justin T keeps you indoors and away from other spending temptations, it's a necesary bargain IMO and I'm sure Kat won't put you on the naughty step for too long0

apparently if you put all fruits in a bowl of water with a 'glug' of vinegar, and give them all a wee rinse/swirl around, it cleans off all the nasties on them and extends their 'shelf life'.

Food shop done tonight ~ spent £52.77 including £3 of Christmas saving stamps.
Got to buy DS2 tie and school badge and pay the window cleaner tomorrow (I'm guessing that still has to count as a spend day although I already have the cash in my purse to pay for them??).
Last spend day for this week should be Saturday but hoping to stick to a strict budget then.

Congrats on the badge NSKI laughed when you mentioned the Colin the Catapillar cake, I went to my friend's birthday celebration on Saturday and was discussing with friends in the car whether he would have a Colin cake and whether I would manage to get the face before anyone else
I didn't because there was no Colin cake

Great to see newcomers on board!!! Raven... Having gone through this trip to becoming debt free - any helpful hints you can share? How long did it take you...?
Hi,
Luckily it wasnt huge debt [no credit cards or mortgage] I cracked down on water and leccy consumption, treats were a myth, clothes were from charity shops, meals were planned, baking was done, ebaying was done, no holidays, lots of walks - all the things suggested right here on the boards. It still took about 4 years!
I might add that during that time I split with my unhelpful ex, and had to claim benefits which strangely did help, although my household income was the same as it had been when my ex was here. Turned out that he'd been hoarding money for ages but never mentioned it, so it neednt have been so dire.

Beautiful Ravens... if you are self employed then hats off to you! Not an easy thing to be doing in the current climate... yellow sticker purchases are a definite SFD though...

Got some free lamb offcuts from the butcher for the dog as we have run out of dog food...I offered him £2 but he said no worries! Aw.''A moment's thinking is an hour in words.'' -Thomas Hood0 -
