Spendy day for me today - I went to meet a good friend for lunch, so it was planned. Spent £10 in the restaurant, but managed to blag discounted travel. My metro ticket should have cost £3.50 but the machine swallowed my £2 coin and didn't give me a ticket or my coin back - so I complained at the office and they gave me my ticket there and then for no extra money. So £2 lost in the machine but a free ticket so £1.50 up.
I don't go into Newcastle much, so while I was there I decided to go into primarni for stuff for the kids. My mam had given me £20 to get some summer clothes for them for their hols (our Sun holiday jaunt next week), which I spent in there and got LOADS of stuff. Managed to resist anything for me though.
Not too much planned for the rest of my last week off work without kids. I have a docs appointment Friday, and plan to relax before I start 6 weeks of 'What can we do today?'.
Hope everyone is well.Ninja Saving Turtle0 -

Jonesy I followed your lead and others who sorted their jobs out! I had it out with my big boss about how bored I was, how useless I felt with the lack of work and how I was contemplating leaving due to my line manager being a bit of a silly billy. Mr Big Boss was shocked but very nice and said things will change because he doesn't want me to leave! Awwwww! We shall see though...
Sat here like a lemon at home, sweltering in the house and feeling rather tired. I have no energy for nowt at the moment..
SFD at least.. Lol! I shan't witter much more.. I am such a bore! Ha!...
Onwards to a few degrees lower please...“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Hello,
got one of those days where I can't be bothered at work and think what am I doing here I got stuff to do at home. Oh well, only another 7 hours.
Need to pop to LIDL for milk and a few other bits and bobs, so no SFD today.
Got the guest bedroom tidied yesterday got rid of a few bin bags full of stuff and now it looks more like a room than a storage space. Will need to paint it at some point though. But for everything I finish I see two more jobs to be done, grrr...Never mind the daily chores. I think I need to learn to chill a bit moreDEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/250 -
Good morning everyone
Hoping for SFD#8 today, managed #7 yesterday which was great.
Need to pop to Halifax on my lunch break to try and withdraw DSs money, can't get it without loads of ID and I need to transfer it into his 6% account. Hoping my password, personal debit card and his bank statement will be sufficient!
Prepped some soggy mushrooms, wrinkled peppers and half a red onion this morning for an omelette tonight. Also made some more Easiyo yoghurt so that should be ready tonight too.
Checked banking - all ok.
Busy weekend ahead but most of it paid for so will stock up on picnic stuff and hopefully not spend too much at the things we go to!

Today will be a SFD. Got the afternoon off work and plan to take pooch on a long walk to tire him/us out.
Payday tomorrow and looking forward to paying off the CC debt straight away. We've booked some trips for our hols on it and the drinks package so my main CC is at a whopping £1005 and the other (that I'd forgotten I'd used) is at £144. I bet someone at the CC dept is rubbing their hands with glee at the potential interest they could earn except I'm paying it all off tomorrow, mwah ha ha!0 -
