    Morning all

I was up super early to try and squeeze in a run before the heat gets too much - isn't it brilliant:).

Yesterday was a spend day as I was out with my friends for lunch. It took us 4 months to arrange it because of various other plans & it was a really good afternoon.

    Groceries: £57.58/£100
    Misc: £22.66/£40
    SFD: 4/20

    Good morning fellow tompers,

Many apologies for not checking in for the past couple of days - life seems to have been a bit chaotic :o

    I have spent money - & I don't even know how much.....

but we did buy a set of good dog clippers - 3 dogs, 1 cut for a dog is about £30 - so the £50 clippers have paid for themselves already. Sadly Diego now looks like a skinned rabbit... it'll grow back & at least he's now cool.

And the other really good news is that the last PPI cheque has come in. Banked on Saturday - but DH has arranged for a bit of decking to be put up outside - at least there will be some money left so we'll get wee Tora dressed and then the remainder will pay down bills :j:j

I'll add in my totals later (when I find them) but I have to work now

Enjoy the sun for me folks........

I never checked in yesterday as I found out that sharing drinks in the sun early afternoon with mates has an amnesiac effect...and is also quite soporific .....
Will be in tonight to update !!

Plenty of slip slap slop on today if ur in the sun :)

    Oh dear oh dear....

Well, good news and bad news!

    SFDs: 6/20 :j
Food £62.37/£80  (that'll teach me to spend £25 casually going "hooray I've been paid, lets have wine and treats!")
    Petrol £63.22
Other spends £19.99/ can't recall what the original budget included. But, whilst my car was being serviced and wheel-aligned I spent £4.99 cash plus a £10 voucher on a smart laptop sleeve which is already making the stuff management for work SO much easier, £11 cash plus a £5 voucher on a deeply attractive beige bra to go under white shirts/floaty summer stuff for work, £2 on birthday cards.

I then spent an hour on a lovely bit of green reading my current affairs mag, with picnic lunch and ready-packed water. Some mse things are sinking in...

On to the big confession. I decided to go on the ski holibob with the family. This has meant:
    1. No new running shoes yet as deposit had to be paid
    2. Longer time paying my mother back
    3. Severe grumpyness hitting as I realised every pair of shoes (apart from my flip flops and wellies) has holes in, my jeans are developing holes in, black work cardi has a hole in... I look like a proper ragamuffin! Also want to "treat myself" to some exciting manufacturing books and sheryl sandberg's book. BUT, if I want to go, the belt has to go tighter.

I need to join the library here, but I am at work out of town all week and not here at the weekend very often, so haven't got round to it yet. :naughty:

I keep thinking about my grandparents. Their great passion (apart from each other) was travel, and they bought their clothes from jumble sales and trawled the supermarkets for bargains for years, so they could afford to visit the places they really wanted to go. They also had a habit of going to places not long after after bombings, political uprisings and minor natural disasters, and would come back saying things like "the valley of the kings was so quiet, it was wonderful, we had our pick of the guides!". Barmy. However, my point is, they identified what was important to them, and cut back on what was less important.

I haven't got there yet, I want to be able to afford everything at once! And that is the recipe for disatisfaction and discontent. See above pay day treats issue. I need to get my s**t in order.

You go lotti..that's a great philosophy to have! One I aspire to for me and my DDs..

Sunday was indeed a NSD. Didn't spend a bean..whoop whoop

Yesterday was a spend day. Sainsbugs order..and for the first time ever, paid delivery as I didn't want to spend the £100 to get free delivery..and also we had been without fruit juice and squash for 3 days..pretty grim so capitulated. I also had a drink yesterday afternoon with a mate..£15 as I paid for her too...when we put the world to rights. She is going through some serious life changes so had to be done...

However I did luck out on one thing..when DD1 sends that familiar last minute text saying she needs a costume for a dance show this week...began to think of a panic buy..but then dug out a dress of mine for her...it's a little large;) but should do!!:T

Today should be a No Spend Day..plus van going on hire again :T so that's some more serious cash against the evil cards. The letter closing one card was sent today..in a recycled envelope with a reused stamp..Kat..you'd be proud!:D

Good morning! Yesterday was meant to be a spend day as I was due to go to Mr T on my way home from work, however, there was a mega crash yesterday and town was absolutely gridlocked so I had no chance of getting near the supermarket. I haven't got time to go today so shopping will be tomorrow. I have got my list and budget and I'm going to stick to it religiously!
This weather is just gorgeous, such a shame I have to work today. Never mind, think of the money, think of the money!

Hope everyone has a good day.

    Goooood morning.

Glorious day here too, office windows open to let the sun and the summer air in. Today should be SFD number 7 and I better keep them coming as we'll need the money. More tomorrow ;)

Afternoon all, sfd here - sun is shining MUST WORK.... :(

Have rescued a banana from the scraps bin (foolish husband) and added it to the other three that were over the edge - chocolate banana muffins now made and they are scrum. Should keep the kids going for the next couple of days :D

Elderflower fizz seems a success - there are bubbles in dem bottles and I keep releasing the fizz. Off to cornwall this weekend so must remember to ask cat feeder to do the same or I will come back to an elderflower lake!

Slightly bum news is my car is probably due a cam belt change - booked for about 10 days time - £300. Kat I feel your pain :(

Time to crack on now, love to all LAGL xx

    hello all,

The sun is shining here too, it's fab!

Today is going to be a spend day as the cats are out of biscuits so a trip to Mr T's on the way home is in order (as is buying some ice cream and/or lollies whilst we're there)
