Update from me for the weekend....

Early Sat morning my friend and her hubby came round armed with garden tools and bacon and rolls! They decided, rightly so, that my back garden needed sorting and I couldn't tackle it by myself  between us we razed to the ground a patch roughly 60' x 20' with brambles and nettles about 10' high! We were all shattered and looked like we had self harmed !!!!

So that was a no spend day :D

Sunday, me and the mutt went to the East of England dog show ( my first planned day out) He behaved very well but we left fairly early as it was scorching! I did succumb to some food out but was only £4.50 so under the fiver allowance :D

Today, I have started clearing the garden rubbish and have made one trip to the tip but came back with a water butt for a fiver. Being on a water meter and growing veggies, it makes sense

I have realised I hadn't put a misc spend budget for things like lunch out at planned days or petrol in mower etc so ill set that at £30 for the whole month

HM - dirty Tom from next door was found inside our house by the LLL when we left the backdoor open for fresh air. He was mewing away with paws in the dining room... the Shih Tzu took care of him... naughty puddy-tat!

"Uncle Tommo" my mum & dad's dog is coming to stay from Thursday for 2 weeks whilst they're on holiday. If Tom Cat wants to venture back anytime soon, he's going to get a real shock :rotfl:

Evening all, well I have finished work for a couple of days and then its all go until Mon pm, still the extra earnt is going towards the CC I bought my glasses on:)
Been really nice here and Ive been sat out after work (I finish at 2pm) watching and listening to the baby starlings and sparrows that visit the birdbath and feeders - noisey lot:)

I haven't been able to get on the internet the last couple of days, not sure why but everything seems to be working now, anyway I have had a few more SFDs but that will change as I need some more fuel and bits of food, but nothing too much

Anyway, going now to try and catch up on the last couple of days posts

    Hello all,

Have been completely absent, vet bills, car bills and general panic about life have rather taken over. I am skinter than a skint thing in skint land.

I am doing some financial jiggery pokery today and hope to have a plan to still be out of debt by 31st Dec although now I am changing jobs that is unlikely.

I am also pondering crazy money making schemes.

Hope everyone else is having a more successful time then me!

    xx
    Nevertheless she persisted.
  • Well, as predicted, I didn't get a freebie at the vets today. It cost me £16.09 for the vet to look in his mouth, tell me it was looking lots better and that he didn't need stitches or indeed any further treatment.
So while I was spending I put £50.01 of liquid gold in for the double school run. Yes, £50.01 - I hate when it goes from 99 to 01 without stopping at 00.
Ah well. Tomorrow is ds school visit. Most unlikely to be a sfd. Don't think I've got a hope in hell of getting the sfd target this month.

Happy well done on getting rid of that catalogue....

Thanks Kat it feels good to be rid of it! :D

Spend day today, it was the only day hubby could fit in the food shop. £45.18 spent ~ that should keep us going most of the week.

    xx

Well a very good morning to you all.. I see the heat has melted a few people and we are low in numbers at the moment. Don't blame you really - by the time I get home I am tired and too warm.

Actually managed to tidy up last night and do a few things around the house... and made the most amazing dinner ever...

Had a dilemma with the bike.. it needs to be fixed asap as I need to use it to go to overtime at the weekend... riding there is fine but getting home woulda been awkward and I didnt want to use their replacment bike and be responsible for it. The LLL woulda followed me up there and brought me home, but not until Friday which was a little too late.

I agreed to a £25 fee for it to be picked up (already taken last night) and now feel like a bit of a mug. Having realised the repairs would have only taken a few hours I coulda went there, had a cuppa and read my book and brought it home the same day. Now I can't actually get there until friday to pick it up with the help of LLL as I am refusing to pay £25 to get it home...

What a mug! In desperation I didn't think!:mad::mad:...part of me really didn't want to ride in this heat, hang around in my gear for so long etc...

So my other dilemma... the repairs will cost about £400. This was the deposit from my last house that has not been forthcoming and probably won't for a while. Therefore my CC will be used... I wanted to pay an extra £800 off the loan next month but will now consider clearing the CC straight away instead. The chance of OT is diminishing with only one more this month confirmed so the pay checque after next might not even cover just the CC - and I don't want to be stuck with it for too long.

I have tried chasing the old landlady but she is a bit slow on the pick up that taking over two months to return someones deposit is not on.........

    Rant complete.....

The sun is shining again and today I think it's time for a sunbathing session! Although since seeing what the foxes were up to this morning on the little bit of grass we have I shall just stay on the chairs instead..:)

    Morning all.

Looks like it's going to be *another* amazingly sunny day here!!! Ok - so I'm in work all day :( but hey...

Yesterday ended up being a Spend Day as had a friend over for dinner. Also my latest challenge on my fitness regime means I now have to not only eat a mega breakfast, 3 mega shakes a day... but now a mega lunch!!! I don't know if I can handle this much food!!! Seems the easiest way to meet protein requirements is through meat... I got some turkey (burgers and sausages and bacon) (high protein, low fat) as can't face red meat.

Kat - what did you used to eat in your body building days? I much prefer veggie food as it's my default... but a veggie burger/sausage has like half the amount of protein in.

Anyhow... the upshot was - yesterday was a Spend Day, and I'm now into overspill funds and it's only 09th July. When I get a minute I'm going to scour through my receipts and see what purchases so far have been 'excessive and unnecessary' <*cough*cough*haagen dazs*cough* cough*> and which I can justify. Have also put in my second £30 worth of fuel. Can't see that lasting me until July 27th either... so may need a budget review before next month.

On the up - I did receive £100 unexpectedly this month :) so this will help minimize the damage - although I want to put some aside towards my debt slaying...

I may have to sell my body (that's 50p extra earned!)...
