No sfd yesterday - went shopping with a friend. Took only a £20 note with me and bought home change, but only just...
See how I go today. Still off work so it depends how bored I get in the house (unlikely).

eta - Just remembered that the cat is at the vets at 9 this morning to check if his tongue is getting better. Praying that won't be too costly.

    Morning everyone.

Yesterday was a Spend Day, and ended up buying stuff I didn't need because the big Supermarket was closed, and had to use the corner shop. Only went in for milk... They had BIG tubs of Haagen Dazs ice cream for £2.49!!! Oooops! Needless to say this was a BAD shop. I'm normally really good - so not sure why I went on a binge... Still - I did get the milk, and some stuff for dinners (wasn't all sugary goodness!).

Anyhow - Planning a SFD role for the rest of the week...

    Will update later on...

    :)

Morning Chickadees... sun streaming through my window, green smoothy in hand it's set to be a swift day at work today! Out at 1500 and will contemplate bringing Hercules the Bandit to the mechanics today. I know there is a hefty £349 price tag that's awaiting me but he needs new tyres, brakes and a headlight bulb... he is the only way I can get to work at the weekend to earn overtime.... hummmmph! This is going to be partially covered by the old landlady's deposit which she has not returned yet... its been over two months.

She is starting to REALLY annoy me now. I wrote her an email to which she said she would "send invoices to my email" - this was over a week ago. I would like to avoid all manner to small claims court etc and since she advertised at work I will string her up that way... (undeclared extra income and all that...if she doesn't cough up soon)...

Anyway - enough of that. I have plans for big fat banana and peanut butter muffins today. Just need to find a suitable vegan, sugar free recipe.... And I think I shall stretch to some bread rolls as well ...(the usual Jack Monroe ones with raisons and pineapple.....hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm)...

    Then I might sunbathe........

Morning everyone  How are you all? I'm half way through my holiday so not had much of a chance to get online but just wanted to check in and say Hi :D

No idea what the budgets are doing (I never thought I'd be able to switch off but apparently I can!) but there's still money in my purse so all's still good.

I managed to pick up a bargain yesterday. My local Sainsburys was selling end of line coffee at a reduced price because the packaging is changing. I picked up 5 packets of Decaf for 85p each (normally £2.59 each) and some proper caffeinated stuff for £1.23 each. I stocked up as it's still in date for over a year (plus I used someone else's discarded Price Match voucher :)). Just thought I'd mention it in case there are any bargain hunting coffee drinkers reading!

Off out again to enjoy the sun, just stopped by to say hello.

    Enjoy the sunshine everyone :D

Good morning everyone. Firstly my apologies for not checking in Fri-Sun. The signal whilst I was away was shocking and I just couldn't log on anywhere. However I managed to stick religiously to my SFD's and didn't go a penny over my allocation of £20 the whole time I was away. At times it was hard, but nothing I could have bought would give me the satisfaction I am currently feeling right now.

I have therefore had 5 SFD's so far this month. It's a shopping day today, I have my budget and list and I am going to stick to it!

Hope everyone is doing ok, sorry I haven't got time to catch up with all the posts at the moment. I am manic at work.

    Have a good day.

  • Morning all - well we have fete'd, picniced, paddling pooled, bbq'd, skittled, drank, played rounders and eaten icecreams. I think I broke the kids - had to wake them both up at 8.10 for school!! Had a lovely weekend - fab people, all walking distance from my front door which helped with the Gin Mojhitos on Sat night and some how we lost a bottle of pimms last night - careless at a church picnic - who'd have thought it!! ;) Anyways all is not lost - bottled the elderflower champagne last night - hope its worked -if you hear a loud bang from the southwest then it has :D Oh and yesterday and today are sfds - however food budget is not looking good.....

    Love to all, LAGL xx

It's offical. I am a piglet. Two raspberry donuts, 5 crispie cornflake thingy's and two chocolate chip cookies. I feel very uncomfortable. It's after a week of restriction and vegetables... someone in our office is leaving.. always an excuse..

I feel ashamed... it's like unravelling all the good work! NAUGHTY ME!!!

Hello all! Hope you're all well and enjoying the sunshine. Will catch up on posts soon.

£70 spent on food this weekend, a bit more than the £60 I planned but I haven't touched the fun budget this weekend as Hubby's paid for going out etc.

The peppermint oil doesn't seem to be having much effect apart from making my house smell like polos (yumm!) but it may be because our house is quite open plan, grr! I did catch the Tom in the house on Sat morn and think screeching like a banshee at him may have scared him off for a while :)

No plans to spend at all until Friday when I think I'll have run out of catfood. When I put "catfood" on Hubby's shopping list (he went shopping alone this weekend, eek!) it didn't cross his mind that I might have meant a week's worth as opposed to a pack of 6 tins!

HM - dirty Tom from next door was found inside our house by the LLL when we left the backdoor open for fresh air. He was mewing away with paws in the dining room... the Shih Tzu took care of him... naughty puddy-tat!
