  • No spend for me yesterday...
Today is a spendy day - groceries, fuel and nursery to pay for. Better keep a closer eye on myself.

    Personal spends: £4.49/£120
    Food: £5.02/£200
    SFD: 3/20

SFD #3 yesterday as we're not counting the celebratory icecream & frazzles paid for with surprise money I didn't know I had in my purse.

We went out with some friends for dinner last night, OH paid for us with his own money so still a SFD for me :D we had wa9amama mmm although I think it's played my tummy up this morning, that or the tap cola they gave me in the pub, should have asked for a bottle instead :(

Today is a spend day, we need to go to the farmers market to get veg, and to the supermarket to get the other bits we need. I might try to come up with some kind of meal plan as I've not really been eating properly recently. Not sure if pregnancy is meant to make you lose your appetite or not(?) but mine has definitely decreased.

Right, best go tell other half he needs to get showered as he reeks of booze mmm

  • Morning all,

I've had a bit of a woeful week on the spendy front, it's all been quite high stress lately and I went to pieces a bit.

BUT I've got a temp job for the rest of the summer! :j

I'm very excited as the money situation is currently extremely dire and extremely complicated. The sense of relief is almost overwhelming.

It does mean that I don't know what my costs are going to be over the next few weeks in terms of fuel/pet sitting etc, plus I might need to buy a couple of working wardrobe bits as I haven't done smart officewear for years. So while I'm going to keep my food spends down to my £50 limit, the rest of the challenge will be a bit tricky. I'm travelling a bit and it will be the same next month.

I've loved being a part of this though and will still keep lurking away to see how you're getting on.

    LHG X

PS kerri_dfw I hope your ice cream was wonderful!

    Hi all:)

Yesterday was another SFD but today has been a bit spendy but all planned.

I have 2 birthdays and a baby to buy for this month and I had set aside £50 and today I went and got all 3 presents (including cards and wrapping) for £37.08 so really pleased as that will be another £10 closer to being debt free.

Oh bought dinner last night and refused to take any money of me and he gave me 2x £2 coins for my pot... I wonder what he wants:)

I did pop to Asda and to the local shop so that came in just over £20 but I can claim some of it back. I went to B&M bargains for shampoo, shower gel, etc

    Groceries: £14.84/£100
    Misc: £13.66/£40
    SFD: 4/20

I'm going out to dinner with OH tonight so I expect a bit more spending. I'm not drinking so that should save some money.

A guy reversed into me when I was at the shops, it gave me a fright but there was no harm done to me and only a few scratches to my car which will blend in with the rest of the car:D.

Edit: I forgot to add painkillers I bought for OH - £4.95 (Misc total now changed).

    Time to watch Wimbledon

Shocking £72 spent in the supermarket, we have a huge list and a well stocked fridge but I'm still confused how we managed to spend so much. We came away with 3 really huge bags worth of food though and lots of yummy fruit. We're going to be making smoothies this week :D

We also spent £7.20 at the farmers market and came away with a huge bag of vegetables and salad goods. Really going to miss the farmers market when we move, might have to see if I can find one nearby.

  • Well, I've had a bit of a slobby day today...
Went for a walk into town today to pick up my prescription - so I'm hoping that they will do their thing, help me sleep and clear my head up.
Then came home and sat in the garden for a bit with friends, whilst the kids had a run about out there. One friend turned up with a box of iced lollies which gave me the motivation I needed to finally clear out my freezer. It's been needing done for a while so I've been through it and sorted and inventoried everything in there. I declare that we are eating from the freezer for the forseeable. How on earth I've still managed to spend £56.80 online at T3sco I'm not sure. I'll see when it arrives at 8 tonight.
I was going to fill the car up with petrol, but DH came home from work and gave me £20 for petrol, so I'll use that instead.
