Won't be a SFD for me today as it's playgroup and as there are only 21 days left until my month ends and I only have 2 SFDs under my belt I don't think I'll make target this month. Will keep on with the Yomping ways though and try and get as close as I can!

ooh, and another reason I'm not in this month: dentist and haircut. As well as the Weekend In Stockport :D I'm really excited as I get to go to the Vintage Village:j

Not a SFD yesterday as OH got home and wanted to have takeaway. So I convinced him we should have pizza and dough balls from the shop. On the way to the shop he said "let's go out for dinner", to which I replied "I've already put the oven on and we'll save loads of money by not going out". That put an end to that :) Really pleased with us for that one. Although they didn't have the pizza I wanted and the one we did get was flavourless and the cherry tomatos were under ripe. Have told the OH that next time we'll make our own pizza, dough from the bread machine and veg from the fridge!

Unplanned spend day for me. Stressed kitty is, well stressed again. I've put him back on the chill pills as I had a few left over from his last bout but someone suggested burning peppermint oil (instead of the feliway diffuser I was considering) As a hippy 80's teenager I had loads of oil burners, but now... no. So I've bought a cheap burner and some cheap peppermint fragrance oil (didn't have anything better) £3.70 in total and am hoping this will save me from yet another trip to the vets.

I think next month I need a "Misc" fund, not for emergencies as such, just unplanned expenses.

As Hubby has not offered up any of his birthday money towards the CC (to pay for HIS share of holiday clothes) I'm sending him out shopping tonight (with HIS money) for supplies for our 40th get-together tomorrow as I can't afford it.

    Afternoon,

SFD today. I counted the tie/badge and window cleaner as a spend day yesterday.

Today I cleared the catalogue balance :D and have written to them to close the account with immediate effect :D Feels strangely liberating but terrifying too??

Next to work on the overdraft: you're absolutely right Kat I don't need it! I'll update the overdraft total at the end of the month, but hoping it will only stand at around £100 overdrawn instead of £250. I might even be able to cancel it by Sept if I can get the extra £100 in there (I definitely don't want to end up with charges cos I cancel it too quickly and then there's not enough to cover bills?). I really want to bringing my debt free day forward ~ I have a loan with my mum but am only paying back a minimal amount at the mo. Once the other debts are gone I can pay her more ~ I'm so lucky she's helped me and I don't want to let her down. I would love to clear the loan by Dec '16 instead of Feb '19.

    Hope everyone's day's going well!! :D

    xx

    Hello, just a quick check-in.

Happybeingme, congratulations on clearing and shutting that catalogue account.

Today should be SFD number 4. Not much planned for the weekend either. Not going to a friends for tea tonight as it was cancelled but made the chocolate mousse anyway, YUM. OIH is going out tomorrow night. Hopefully get a few things in the garden and house done and make it to the beach one day.

  • Afternoon all, sfd, vaguely tidy house and paperwork securely destroyed (friend was having a bonfire:D).

Paddling pool out, village fete tomorrow, church picnic on Sunday. Scrummy weekend ahead and the elderflower brew smells gorgeous!!

Work - knew I had forgotten something ;)

    Love to all, LAGL xx
