what beautiful makes everyone, the photos and ideas are all stunning.
another thread to put in my subscribed list i think!

im currently working on mostly cross sitch and knitting.

i bought a book at the carboot last week about knitting bags and have an idea to make some for a charity stall at my sons school, ill try a couple and see what they look like.
cross stitch wise ive got a book mark to back and laminate for my mum a stitched picture to sew things on and frame for my step mum a tiger i bought already started that needs finishing - i think that is destined to be a panel for a bag.
ideally if anyone can make time id be really interested in how to do that as i never seem to have enough

  • I am into parchment craft and recently completed a little gift box to contain a silver bracelet for the new baby of a colleague. It is 4" in length by about 2.5" wide and the cradle "lid" lifts off, exposing the oval box underneath.

Apart from the pink ribbon ruffle inside the crib edge and the bow, and the narrow pink ribbon laced round the outside edge, everything else including the blanket is made of parchment. Oh, and there is a small piece of netting under the "skirts" of the crib.

I am very much a beginning crafter, I have been making plaques and signs, but I have put them aside to make hand painted bags and shoes.
I hope I can attach a photo, if it doesnt happen, could someone kindly walk me through please?

ETA No photo, does it have to be on something like Photobucket? I usually only upload pics from my pc to my facebook page :-(photo.php?fbid=600812179940049&set=pb.207999382554666.-2207520000.1374258367.&type=3&theater

Unfortunately you do need to have your photo's on a site like Photobucket.

What a crafty lot we are. There has been nothing posted, that I wouldn't love to have I remember wearing a dress so similar to the one Nichelette has made back in the 60's when I went to the record hops (I was teenager then, kiving in a different country).

The baby crib is a lovely gift box, and looking back over the cards, they are so unique.

The ceramic candle boat would be lovely gift for someone.

Well done ladies. I will have to post up my makings of this week.

I've just started trying to make cards. I'm all about baby gifts and crafty bits at the mo so it follows that my card efforts would be baby-focused
