Does what it says on the tin! I thought it might be a nice idea to have a thread where we could share our current makes and perhaps ask advice if you're at a sticking point with one of your projects.

My current project is a replica of a 40's pearl necklace for a friend of mine and she's asked me to design some earrings and a bracelet to match. She goes to a lot of 40's themed events but real pearls are too expensive and she'd be scared of losing them.

I'll post pictures later on but would love to see what you're all working on be it jewellery, cards, knitting, crochet etc. :D

P.S If there's anyone in Sheffield that fancies teaching me to knit or crochet I'd love you forever and bake you cookies.

I've just finished a 2-year labour of love to knit a blanket of crazy squares for my eldest son. Will post a pic later - I need to get someone to hold it up!

Located near Hunters Bar roundabout, they offer classes and I think also run coffee mornings/socials. I'm not connected with them, but have bought supplies from there on many occasions. Very friendly place :D

I'm making a ripple crochet blanket, but have run out of wool today, so had to stop until I get back to the UK in August.

Now, do I do more crochet, or felties?

Finally, here is a picture. It's not quite as wonky as it looks in the photos as my son is pulling the top out sideways as he holds it up. Well, it is a bit wonky actually, but not quite that much!

It is nearly all garter stitch and mostly odd bits of double-knit from leftovers, charity shops, donations from friends and family etc. I taught myself to crochet (from a book) to do a couple of rows around the edge to finish it off.

Lovely blanket jap200. So unusual and effective with all the different squares. A family heirloom-to-be. Well done.

Thanks for that! I work not far away from Hunters Bar so might be able to pop in one lunchtime and have a chat.

Still not dug my camera out so you'll all have to wait a bit longer for the jewellery pics.

Loving seeing what you're all up to though!
