3 years ago on the sock monkey's thread I said I really fancied making one, I've eventually gotten the finger out and started when someone asked if there were socks that looked like the American flag, there was and I bought them. I didn't take a picture of that one before I sent it and one made out of socks that had Dollars on them to my daughter in America. Anyway I've made a few of them and I'm loving it, my only problem is that I do things obsessively and then I get fed up and go on to something else or at least I try to :rotfl:

Do you have a zigzag stitch to reattach the lacy bottom? or overlock may be better? But first decide whether you can [STRIKE]be bothered to[/STRIKE] unpick all round the lacy bottom or if you'll just snip it off. Plus there is the problem of stopping the vest unravelling.0 -
That dress is gorgeous, it reminds me of my mum many many years ago, we'd go ( I'd be dragged ) up town on a Saturday morning, mum would buy material, she'd make a dress in the afternoon and she would wear it to go out that night, thank you for giving me that memory
