    Good Morning everyone
Woo Hoo, it's sunny here today, not sure how long it's going to last, but I have my DD & DGS coming over, so I hope it stays dry enough for him to play out in the garden.
I'm supposed to going to work for an hour today, but I may just carry it over to next week as it hardly seems worth it to go in for such a short time & I did 7 hours yesterday instead of 3.
I hope the weather is good tomorrow as we have a wedding to go to.
DW is on & will load WM in a few mins, Thumper & Ogden are out in the garden, having been fed & watered & the fish have been fed. I've been up since 5:30, but can't seem to get my a**e in gear & have only just had breakfast, probably cos I had such a late night, hubby had a friend who was 'just popping in for an hour' arrived at 7 & didn't leave till after midnight!!!
I made a really yummy fish pie yesterday & made so much we will have the leftovers tonight.
I think hubby's Mum & Stepdad are coming for lunch on Sunday, must remember to ask hubby whether to do a Sunday roast or if they would like Oven baked Thai style chicken. I'll also do an old fahioned pudding for them, not sure what though yet.
I've taken some photo's of Thumper, Ogden & my garden & uploaded them onto Photobucket, I've added the link to my profile, but I'm not sure if I've set the 'share' facility correctly, so will go & check it out.
    Have a good day everyone
    Hugs Hester

Morning all, lovely & sunny here in my corner of Lancashire, so I've got a load in the WM already so it can go out on the line to dry.

Doesn't the site look posh? Well done MSE team :j

Queenie - ooooo, I love new cars! It was my car's "birthday" yesterday, 12 months since I picked it up. Once you've switched to diesel you'll never go back, I get about 48 MPG out of mine, as opposed to about 28 previously. As well as AMIE's good advice about waiting for the light to go out, make sure you use a glove or paper towel at the garage when filling it up. Diesel evaporates slower than petrol, so it's generally all over the handle of the pump & you end up filthy dirty.

Scuzz - glad you're feeling a bit better. Well done on reporting the funny email, I've just had to deal with a case at work where a man started parking his car next to a girl, then bringing her HM food in from home, and ended very nastily. She says that she never realised it was happening, so dealing with it early on was a good move.

GR - enjoy your day out. It's my Mum's birthday today, and we're taking her & my Dad out for dinner tomorrow night (Nutters in Rochdale if anyone knows it). It's a double celebration because they've both been non smokers for 6 months now. I never thought they'd do it.

Found out yesterday that you can now pay at Vue cinemas with nectar points. I have about 2000, and it's 1000 each, so that's me & OH going to see Pirates 3 FOC. Plus, at the Chiquitos over the road we get 20% off with our gym membership card, so that'll be a reasonably cheap night out one night next week.

Hugs to everyone else, better crack on with some work now I suppose.
    See you later x

Morning all who've been and all who follow!

Queenie I'm so excited for you, picking up a new car is great - and then you have the joy of driving it and finding out all about it.

Off to the tip in a moment, this time with a trailer full of greenery. We've got bags and bags of ivy, plus the tree stumps we dug up yesterday, plus prunings from teh Forsythia. We have four compost bins, one is full of compost that we are using, the other three have no room for additional material at the mo.

Very pleasant outside, have lots of doors and windows open to let the air through. DH needs to mow the lawn, it's a bit damp at the moment so I hope it dries off quickly.

Then a quick visit to the fishmonger (for DH dinner) I also want to get some watercress to make watercress soup for my dinner, so I may pop in to Waitrose. Then on to get some fresh eggs from the bedding plant place.

Kitchen needs a swish and swipe (well, it needs a proper clean but I don't think I'll be doing that today).

WM on, would like to get it out on the line before we go off to the tip.

<Hugs> to those that are feeling under the weather. I;ll be back later to catch up on the later posts.

    Have a great day everyone.

    Morning all,
Am still recovering from a stinky cold that has been going on for about 10 days, so I'm drinking Lemsip whilst I type. However housework will have to be tackled as my cousin's husband is calling in tomorrow on his way to a cycling holiday. Still it's sunny and breezy so there's hope for the washing:D

Very excited as I managed to make some ricotta yesterday. Ds1 and I are both lactose intolerant so I have been experimenting with cheesemaking using the lactofree milk. Results so far - 1 disaster, and 1 lot of ricotta - but I think I know where I'm going wrong so watch this space.......

Did a lovely roast chicken last night with chipolatas, bacon, stuffing, roasties etc. Dh is away so we only ate 2 drumsticks and the wings, so there's plenty left for 2 more meals and a pan of stock. Ds1 took some leftover sausages and bacon in a tub of salad for packed lunch and I shall make soup for me out of the leftover roasties and broccoli (from The New English Kitchen book) - so I'm feeling pretty thrifty.

Hugs to all who need them.
    Queenie - enjoy the car
Scuzz - hugs re the strange letter - take care

    Have a good day everyone

    Morning :hello: :j

Ooooh look at this shiny new site! Unfortunately I don't have time at the moment for a proper look around it, but I do of course have time to post on OS :D

    I can't believe it's already June

Had a great time at Glyndebourne yesterday - the weather was lovely in the afternoon, cooler by the evening, and didn't start spitting rain until the end of the picnic interval. Had a REALLY pleasant surprise as well re: the opera - the leading man was off sick, so his understudy was on, who is a friend of mine, and was TERRIFIC. The picnic was a success too.

I am going once more this season, on el cheapo standing tickets (always end up spending three times the cost of the ticket on eating, drinking and travel though :o)

    Peem ((hugs))
Queenie - enjoy the new car! :D Your inventory spreadsheet sounds very organised... but what happens when your local supermarket rearranges its aisle layout?
Lucie - 20% off at Chiquitos with a gym membership card? Does that mean you go to the gym, burn off loads of calories, then go to Chiquitos and instantly consume triple what you've just got rid of? :rotfl:
    hilstep2000 - ooooh a chimney sweep - very OS!

Must be off now, loads to do at w**k.

    Love Rzl xx

Yep, that's it! I call it "getting into credit first", that's if you make it to the gym beforehand ;), and let's face it, if you've got time to watch Pirates 3 AND go to the gym you're doing well :rotfl:

Hi fizzel, good luck with the MIL, mine always referred to me as 'soiled good' as my parents were divorced.
