Cap1 have cashed my cheque but 2 wks later no statements yet...

How long should I wait before nagging them again?

They have up to 40 days, so sit tight until then. Please see the FAQ in the Reclaim Help thread, link in my signature.

If you call them up they send them out for free. Just ask for your statements ever since the account has been opened and they will send them. I received mine within a few days.

Be careful about doing this, if you simply ask for statement copies, some banks will charge you per copy. You should be asking for the charge information using a Subject Access Request under the Data Protection Act.

    Morning all.

Daft question probably but just for info. I've started on the road to reclaiming my cc charges and I sent the 1st template letter off via registered post to LloydsTSB last week. Having tracked it online, it arrived on Friday. Do they have 40 consecutive days from receipt of said letter in which to reply or is it 40 working days? I'd like to know so that I can put the date in my diary for reference.

    Thanks all.

They should supply the information under the Data Protection Act within 40 days.

Please read the links in my signature for details on what you should do.

Hi, I've sent of the letter requested a list of all my charges for the last 6 years included account number the cheque for £10 and gave them 40 days to respond and sent it recorded delivery!
What do i do next? Tried to find another letter saying they should have responded etc but not had any look, i'm abit stuck with not even getting a list of the charges.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    thanks:o

I'm not sure if this is correct but first i would check if they had cashed your cheque and advise them that you are going to report them to the information commissioner for not reply to your request.

Did you send the letter by recorded delivery? If so check that they definately received it!

    Keep on going!
