Bril thanks!!I love this site and all chums, but its making a dent in my bank account!!!
Have lots of things I want, but dont necessarily need... Must DO BETTER!!! :A0 -
I thoughtthe idea behind this was to boost sales in small (maybe independent) shops? When I search, results include Burger King, Lakeland, Toni & Guy and lots of other multiples.
Am I doing something wrong?0 -

Going to have a look now. But in my experience most owners of small shops roll their eyes when they see you get an AMEX card out - they are so slow to pay out apparently.0 -

Lots of those are Franchises though, so despite the Big name, they're owned by individuals.0 -

The sops on the list should use AmEx, as they'll be signed up to the scheme.
That said, there were one or two places I went to last time that still refused.
Luck of the draw innit.0 -

I found some of the shops last time didn't, and had never, taken Amex. All a marketing attempt by Amex for consumers to try and persuade small shops to take Amex.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards.
