Been for my whooping cough jab today, which I'd heared was particularly stingy, so was pleasantly surprised when I felt nothing! The GP said it all depends on where in the muscle the injection goes and whether there are any nerves nearby, so she must have picked a good spot!

Or am I getting mixed up with achey arm afterwards?

Saw midwife, she didnt really say anything but im a bit concerned about my blood pressure. Last time I went was 87/58 and this time 90/45. I am starting to have quite a few dizzy episodes but all she said when I mentioned it was hmm yes it is quite low, try not to get up too quickly. What is everyone elses if you dont mind me asking? Wondering whether I should speak to GP or whether im worrying over nothing.

Low is really good.. apart from the dizzy spells.. you are worrying over nothing!

After running upstairs and back down to get my notes mine was 89/60... it is great in terms of pre-eclampsia but not so good when your feet balloon and you faint at random moments.

Does anyone know anywhere to buy maternity / nursing bras for larger sizes?

I need a 38J cup now as my stitching is bulging on the H cups I have.

I got the originals from mothercare, but they are out of stock online and in all of my local shops and unable to order in.

I have seen some on ebay, but not only are they more expensive than mothercare - they are different brands so I don't know if they will fit the same or anything.

I definitely need non-wired as they really really hurt if I wear wired bras. But also I would like as much support as pos with them being on the larger side...

    Thanks, Abi 22+0

I hate hate hate the mothercare bras. No support. Ugly. Sold by an over eager sales lady who told me my "milk won't come in" as I've been wearing underwired ones. They look lovely on the hanger, the issue is once they are on me.

I bought two (still ugly) but super comfy bras from figleaves - £58 for two but my god they are comfy.

I am currently a 38/36H which proved difficult to try in most shops so I do feel your pain.

  • 120/80 is the norm for most people.

MW suggested sports bras but I may get some strappy nonwired aswell for vest tops. I need a maternity swimsuit too! I have an old tankini that just about fits.

I feel like snapping at people too. I went to zumba in this weather and this older lady looked at me ans said 'well you'll have to be careful then' in what seemed like a condescending tone. I wanted to tell her where to go but said nothing. Like I am not aware that I'm pregnant!

I'd love to be able to buy smaller bras!
I was measured at a 34F pre-pregnancy but the woman in mothercare measured me a 40DD, !!!!!!? :rotfl:

    Sorry... Double posting.

Mothercare bra lady (in reading) had me as a 40something, it slid up my back and looked awful. They are eithe badly trained or not trained at all.

It's a good job they had other offers in as I wasn't impressed with the bras.

    Hi folks,

25+4 here and currently waiting for a DR to ring me back as I tried to book an appointment for tomorrow but they want to call me first.

Having quite a few stomach cramps and some pains accompanied by 'a squiffy belly' if you catch my drift. I feel pretty nauseous which is the first time I have done throughout the whole pregnancy.

I'm hoping it is just a stomach bug, but as it started yesterday and hasn't got any better I thought I'd get it checked out, as noone at work as got a bug and I've eaten the same as my partner and he is OK. It could be a sudden aversion to some food I guess.

    Has anyone had anything similar?

PP - your expert advice needed please :D

Should I be concerned by the amount of people who have told me today that my bump looks really low, and I'll never make another 5 weeks?

Really you need to make it to 37 weeks so only 2 weeks?
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

I suffered quite a bit with dizziness and cramps, resulting from low blood pressure. A banana most days has rid this, apparently coconut milk works too.

no.. even if you have it tomorrow it'll be fine.. 35weekers are usually only kept in 48 hours to make sure their glucose levels are stable and they are feeding adequately..

Mine engaged last week so is really low but still in there! They come when they do!
