Hi Sam, no I didn't get checked out in the end I just thought I would see how it goes and nothing too much has happened since then apart from some braxton hicks so I think I'm ok. I think I was just awfully sweaty under my giant bump haha!
I know what u mean about sitting, I have to sit like a man now or it just presses too much, skirts above knee length are definitely off the cards until baby is born!
I got into the lift yesterday and 2 women from another company in my building laughed at me! Saw me, didn't say anything, then burst out laughing! I said to them in quite a serious tone it's not funny. They tried to act interested afterwards, asking me due date etc but I was already annoyed by this point lol
Hope everyone's ok x

Got a bit of an awkward situation with a friend of mine. 3 of us worked together for abour a year - Agata had a baby in May, I'm due in August and Claudia, bless her, wants a baby more than anything in the world. I think it was pretty hard on her when we both announced our pregnancies so close together but she was going through a divorce/re-marriage at the time so wasn't the best time for her to try. Things have now settled down and they're planning on trying for a baby now - but she seems convinced that it's going to happen right away. Now, I'm not saying that it won't happen for her right away, and I really hope it does, but she's late 30s and had an abortion in the past so I don't want her to get her hopes up and be devistated...but I don't want to be the one who goes "Well, y'know..this might not happen..." - any advice?
I tried to conceive for 2.5 yrs before finally becoming pregnant with this little one (with many investigations and interference in between) and it's tough to watch people around you all seemingly getting your dream - but what's even tougher is when they (melodramatic-ly) moan about everything to do with their pregnancy/new baby, when you'd kill to be in their position. If the ladies around her know they're (to use a cliche) blessed, it's much easier to handle, imo (everyone has the right for the odd whinge, don't get me wrong
).
It's lovely of you to think about her feelings, and hope she gets what she longs for soon
I went to M&S for a maternity bra fitting on the weekend and was so disappointed. The bras she tried fobbing me off with were the antithesis of what I'd thought/read you're supposed to look for - aside from the fact they were ugly, they fitted badly, didn't have much room to grow into, weren't supportive. I left empty handed, having finally psyched myself up and thinking I've finally get them sorted. She seemed to be saying it was me being an awkward size - I'm 38DD/E - it's not like I'm off the charts or something! My sports bras are more supportive and comfortable than what she was offering, but they don't go up another size either, and they generally don't sit under vest tops etc without being seen. Does anyone have any good experience/places/bread to recommend that I can go in and try out? I don't really want the hassle of yet more online ordering
Also, while I'm thinking about it, I'm hoping to go on holiday in September (around 21 wks) - will I get away with buying non maternity swimsuits, or do I really need what they're offering at an exorbitant price?

I have a maternity swimsuit probably going begging (somewhere in the 14-18 size range).. obviously I have no idea what size you are .. I shall dig it out and see.. it is really boring plain black affair though.. I don't do swimming and I don't do colourful! Failing that.. ebay.. I have a box of maternity stuff I am selling to get listed anyway..
Bras.. Figleaves or Debenhams.. I wouldn't shop anywhere else.. the Hot Milk ones are lovely.
I hate M&S bras.. the straps are far too wide apart and they have zero support.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -
Afternoon ladies - it is so nice to be on mat leave!
On the bra front, I am a busty girl without being pregnant (38F) so haven't worn underwired bras since about 12 weeks as they were just so uncomfortable. Believe it or not the best things I have found are "comfort" bra tops from Asda - £6 quid each, stretchy without fastenings (pull on over your head) and so unbelievably comfy! I went so size large and there's plenty of room in them.Mortgage Aug 22 £280,000

Does anyone know anywhere to buy maternity / nursing bras for larger sizes?
I need a 38J cup now as my stitching is bulging on the H cups I have.
I got the originals from mothercare, but they are out of stock online and in all of my local shops and unable to order in.
I have seen some on ebay, but not only are they more expensive than mothercare - they are different brands so I don't know if they will fit the same or anything.
I definitely need non-wired as they really really hurt if I wear wired bras. But also I would like as much support as pos with them being on the larger side...
