For those that have them, when did you start getting leaky boobs? Felt something wet/cold, looked down and now I have two wet spots on my gown (at least I haven't gotten dressed yet for today!)!!! I thought 16 weeks was surely too early for that?!0

Samtoby I meant to say, welcome to team pink! Your little girl will be so lucky to have a doting big brother and all your old toys
I'm just back from the midwife, quite pleased for three reasons: we're both doing well and my blood pressure etc is spot on, baby is 4/5 engaged (which I know just means she is thinking about heading into the pelvis, but it's a good start!) and I managed the one mile walk in 20 minutes! :T

Thank goodness someone else brought that up Mrs_T_M!! I don't think I have it quite so visibly but I have started to notice bits now and then as I got worried but then was too shy/embarrassed to bring it up with anyone! At first I though that maybe it was due to pressure or something from my bra but now I'm sure they just have a mind of their own. Probs started around 23/24wks for me though************************************

ha love it! I bought OH a book on Amazon called 'from here to paternity', a diary some guy wrote during his wife's pregnancy. He said he really enjoyed it, and I got a used copy for pence on Amazon.
Still got belly ache today, but I think it's more digestion than pregnancy related. Bit miffed today, we have a new ward manager who says he can't guarantee he'll put me on the shifts I want/need (to fit in work, uni and rest days together since I'm just shattered). But we'll see if it happens, I've got the shifts I need til the end of January.0 -

No wonder my hips & joints/pelvis have given me aches. I was wondering the other day if my hips had got bigger as I read they do, because I've been in maternity jeans since 12 weeks mainly for comfort at that point I could still fit in normal stuff.
So just for a laugh I just tried my old jeans on - one pair if I'd pulled on I think I might have had to cut off to get out of so didn't risk it lol the others I could just pull up but obviously the zip or button wouldn't do up.
Then I measured my hips and they are 39 inches -previously I know from a dress fitting they were 36.5! So I've literally expanded outwards!
I don't know if they are supposed to go back after birth but if not looks like I'll need a new wardrobeit's actually cheered me up a bit since yesterday though knowing that, I know it's not a bump measurement but shows my body is doing what it's supposed to do.
Now my boobs just need to catch up!0 -
Blimey I can't keep up with you all at the moment!
Robots - I hope you're doing ok and not panicking too much, well done on telling the midwife to explain things for you. There is so much to take in that there's no shame in needing people to take their time with such important stuff
Rummer - Congratulations for getting a date! I hope you get everything sorted in time, how exciting that you're going to be a mummy by next week
Mrs T_M - Thanks for bring up the slings subject. I'm definitley going to get one as we live in a 2nd floor flat and I don't want to be carrying a heavy car seat up and down the stairs all the time
Ellie 3009 - Thanks for your post, it is really helpful
claire16c - I hope you're feeling better knowing you will be measured again next week, and possibly again by the GP. I've got my 28 week appt next week and I'm worried about being measured, I'm paranoid my bump is too big. I'm sure my hips have gone up in sixe too - I know my bum has but I don't think I can blame that on the baby, it's from all the chocolate at Xmas!
AFM I shouldn't have boasted about how well I had been sleeping. I woke up at 0145 for the loo then couldn't get back to sleep, at 0245 I was hungry and sitting up eating a banana. I think baby is having a growth spurt - that's the excuse I've given for eating 2 of the chocloates from the selection box last night (and the sausage sandwich at work today).
I bought DH the Commando Dad book, it's all about how to care for your baby trooper at base camp (home). It looks quite funny.0 -
Oh I'm jealous of leaky boobs, im 33+5 and not a drop yet!
Had a scan this morning, baby was 3lbs 3oz approx on xmas day and 3lbs 14oz today, I'm pleased with that.
OH wanted to take me for dinner tonight but doc said she'd prefer me to be in hospital from 6pm for monitoring so I told him to go and spend the evening with his bro and gf and I'll just chill in hospital, 10th day, I feel like I've moved in. 3 hrs sleep last night so pretty shattered anyway.0 -

Great news about the extra oz! Shame the doc won't allow you out for dinner, could your OH bring food in? When I was in the ward there were lots of gentlemen bringing in both home made and take away food and enjoying it in the day room.Taking responsibility one penny at a time!0
