I can't get properly into the Christmas spirit , think it's the weather I love Christmas too !!

Also loaded with the cold and my throat is very dry.. finished the last of the milk and have no juice in the house... can't stomach water

Inara Beth was born at 17:12 weighing 7lb 9oz and already in possession of an opera singer's lungs :rotfl: All the staff have been brill and I'll properly update when I'm home as things got a little complicated and I've lost one epic post already (stupid phone!) Baby's doing really well and feeding like it's going out of fashion - thank you so much to everyone on this thread who's put up with my worries, tantrums and wobbles over the last few months - I will be lurking like a woman posessed to see your birth announcements!

I haven't fully read back (as I don't belong here!), but has there been an update from Lily?

I was prescribed iron tablets & did get bunged up from them. Looked at the sachets but as has already been said, you need to take loads to get the same amount of iron as a tablet. The GP prescribed Fybrogel, which helped (but wasn't particularly nice to take).

Although I don't post often I read everyday. I haven't seen an update from Lily since she gave birth to her little girl. Hoping she is enjoying lots of baby cuddles and will update at some point.

afm. Had the diabetic clinic today and the consultant has given me some metformin for the next week to see how I get on with it. Hopefully I will be able to eat more as I am losing weight and the babys growth has slowed to the 10th centile. Another growth scan tomorrow lunch time so I really hope he as had a growth spurt.

The x's for the fundal height on my notes show that my belly hasn't grown for almost 6 weeks but the growth scans show that he is growing - just slowly. The diabetic consultant said the tape measure thing is rubbish but asked me not to tell the midwives he said so:rotfl:

The weather is really rubbish here again and we have more weather warnings for storms. Hope everyone stays safe and warm and has a very happy stressfree Christmas:santa2::xmastree::xmassign:

Christmas babies are the best

Had a lovely birthday lunch with my family and a tasty cake from M&S. Feeling pretty thankful right now, what a difference a year makes!

ETA: Claire I take acidophilus just before the meal I take my iron supplements with and it really helps to keep things moving. I can really tell when I've forgotten to take it.it helps your digestive system do its thing - worth a try? And yes the iron tablets are small - similar to folic acid size.
