We haven't bought a cot bumper but we've got these instead as they wrap around the bars of the cot but leave space in between. Still not totally sold on them but I'll see how wriggly baby is in his sleep and if he has a habit of getting up against the sides I'll remove them if I feel uneasy. Planning on buying something to go on the mattress to stop him rolling over so that'll stop him getting close to the sides anyway.
Also, you can just roll up a towel and pop it in a pillowcase if you want an anti-roll "device". Saw it on the Baby Whisperer, a while ago. She used it for baby to sort of lie/snuggle against when they were trying to get the baby to sleep in a cot instead of on the parents/on the couch all the time. Thanks Zippy and I hope your LO doesn't wait too much longer to make a (calm and drama-free) appearance too
I have such mixed feelings about when I want MiniZee to appear... I am really having increased pain and discomfort (my hands/fingers are so swollen and sore now that opening bottles and doors and blowing my nose even hurtsand today my feet were starting to feel the same (but no swelling really and my blood pressure's always been fine, but will be checked again on Tues
)) so I'd be quite happy for him/her to arrive any time now!
But on the other hand, DH so needs to unwind and have some time (off work) to himself first, I think. He's struggling with missing his parents (he's an orphan now) and such, and he really needs to get through Christmas first I think... Plus I'd quite like bubs to have a birthday a little further away from Christmas too...I really hope not to go over though!
I just hope I don't get to the point where I'm practically begging for early induction :cool:Just in case anyone hadn't realised, I'm VERY EXCITED for tomorrow :rotfl:With good reason!
Don't worry about your PIL. They'll get to meet bubs soon enough. This'll give you the chance to take the time for you and DH to bond firstdurham_girl wrote: »Bigzippy can you change my '?' to a girl symbol please?
Good luck with the scan

Con-I'm liking the look of the silver cross linear as well-I love it in the plain black, I saw someone with it in the shops recently and it is gorgeous.0 -
The uppababy only fits with one rear wheel popped off, but it is so easy to do we decided that it was worth the faff to have the one we really wanted.
Ellie, what car do you have please? I have a civic and hubby has a BMW. Fingers crossed it will fit in both boots.First date 10.2.2002

Emz - we have a Nissan almera, 1998 S reg... which probably will not get through it's next MOT due to rusting badly...
Your cars are probably newer:D
The only reason that it doesn't fit with both wheels on is because the back seats slope really steeply back into the boot, so the although the floor of the boot is deep enough, it gets narrower very quickly with height and the large rear wheels can't sit vertical. It only *just* doesn't fit annoyingly.
see here for a pic of the same boot as me0 -
Thanks Ellie... ours are both 2001, so not much newer! Will have to test it out in my car when I order it and hope for the best with OH's, as we can't get to try it out before and I am NOT missing this offer!!!First date 10.2.2002

I've got my GTT this morning... Eurgh. Already feeling hungry and can't eat for around another 4 hours!! I'm dreading sitting in the hospital for the 2 hour wait in between, have my kindle ready bit can never concentrate on stuff like that in a public place.
I hope it's clear... I'm at risk because of my BMI and PCOS. I'm already on metformin because of insulin resistance so hoping that counteracts any GD symptoms but you just never know.
Will come back later to news of Amy hopefully! X0 -
Squ1rell hope it goes well
I found the waiting the easiest bit, there was a woman asleep snoring in the waiting room so me & my sister were in stitches
hope that all is fine and they get you outa there quickly!!

Congratulations Opimistic Mummy! :J
I've been sleeping badly too.Was awake at 3 this morning, gave up and went to the sofa at 4 and just dozed a bit until my alarm went off. Mine seems to be a mix of things; I've always been a light sleeper so have struggled in the past with getting a full night anyway, my brain has been going into overdrive and I keep thinking about things we still need to sort before the baby gets here and I just can't seem to turn it all off and then the baby wakes up for a boogie at 3 every day so if I'm stirring already it wakes me and keeps me awake!
Good luck today Amy! Very excited for you!
Hope the GTT goes well squirrel. Just think of the feast you can have once it's over!
Had to surrender wearing my engagement ring as my fingers are swollen and the last few days it's been getting more and more awkward to put the ring on and take it off.Luckily my wedding ring is a size bigger so still fits or I'd feel totally naked!
I also forgot how far along I am this morning! That's a bad sign, isn't it?! Pretty sure I'm 33weeks!Just a few more to go until I'm full term!
