  • Just had a really awkward moment in the hospital. As I was coming into the waiting room of the hospital. Just as I was walking in I stopped in my tracks as I saw my ex husbands best friend and his wife in there. My ex did the dirty and we split on really bad terms and I've managed to avoid everyone associated with him for the last 6 years! So it took me back to see them in here! I kind of hung around outside for a while, went to the loo, browsed in the shop, buried my face in a book and waited til they'd gone before I went in. I didn't see which way they went but I only went and chose the seat right opposite their consultants room. When they came out they almost walked into me!!!!
I was just thinking "please don't say anything" thankfully they just looked at me with a hint of recognition and have now left the building!

Can hopefully relax now!! Just hope they're not due at the same time and on my ante natal classes!!! I've already got an ex boyfriend whose wife is due on the same date so I'm just waiting for them to turn up too and make it the most awkward day ever!! :-)

In good news, only one hour til I can eat!!!!

Good luck today Amy, can't wait for your announcement :D

Squirrel hope it goes quickly for you and sorry for the awkward moment, I'm sure just one coincidental due date is enough for anyone so you'll be fine with them lol

Bleurgh been up in the night with diahorrea and now feel sick and have a headache and sore tummy. Meant to be having DH's friend and his wife round but instead DH is going see them, feel really bad cos they live in Copenhagen so we don't see them much but I need to be in my pyjamas on the couch lol

Oh my goodness Amy is having her baby today.I'm so excited for you :)

Lippy - congrats on being a boldie now.
Optimistic mummy - congratulations on your arrival, that's a really impressive labour. Hope you're now well rested and enjoying your little bundle.

Re: pushchairs - we've gone for a silver cross surf all terrain so we can take it off road and in the snow. Our car seat doesn't go in it but I don't really agree with keeping a child in a seat designed for a car just for my own convenience anyway (personal opinion).

We've finished the nursery yesterday, I'm just finishing off her quilt then I'll post up some photos :) thought I was going to go into labour in m&s yesterday, had sudden cramps whilst food shopping and told OH the people trying to walk through me could f off (classy I know) as I was in pain. But it eased after a hour so I think I just had to heavy a basket, whoops. My cat had become very clingy the past few days so maybe he knows something I don't. ..

I keep wondering that SmlSave, I feel so big and uncomfortable now, can't imagine what it's going to be like by the time I get to full term! :o

Hope you're feeling better TL, just no fun to be poorly so close to Christmas. :(

Very awkward hospital visit Squirrel! :p

Borrowed an excerise ball from a colleague... got it home and realised that I don't know what I'm supposed to be doing with it! :o Do I just sit and balance or have a little bounce?

Well, what a waste of time going to the group for physio for SPD was! There was meant to be a group of 5 of us, meant to take an hour and a half. ten minutes after being told the other 4 had called of this am, brandishing a support I was on my merry way! I wouldnt care, but had to go twenty miles as my hospital cant run the sessions as the woman who runs them has taken early maternity leave!

I've been on the hunt for a maternity coat for ages, finally the Asos one I liked got reduced, used a voucher I had and paid a few quid. Well it's just arrived but the size 8 is a bit tight around the shoulders so I've packed it back up to exchange, but just looked on the website and the size 10 is gone! It's like the world is conspiring against me to get one lol! Don't know if to keep the 8 and feel a bit restricted in it it just send back for a refund which puts me back to square one with no coat as I don't think I've got much longer left in my current one!

Looking forward to news from amy!

The dr rang to say my blood test results show I'm slightly anaemic so she's written a prescription, I'm really scared it will make me constipated though, already have enough tummy aches as it is!!

I'll ask my DH and let you know, he's supposed to be showing me at some point after Xmas. He's done a pre and post natal course and was on about me using the ball the other day.

It was cluttering up the kitchen though so I made him put it in the garage being the clean freak I am so I definitely won't be doing anything for a few days.

    Thanks Claire! :)

As for the iron, try Spatone sachets instead of tablets. They're not very cheap but they don't give you any digestive trouble (I've been on them for a few months and had no problems. :))
