Morning ladies
Just to let you all know that baby Henry was born at 6.40am on 12/07/13 weighing 8lb13.
Labour wasn't too bad, went into the hospital at 2am after having contactions since 8pm on Thursday. Was 8cm so straight to delivery suite then after 3 hours pushing I got tired and he got adgetated so ventouse assisted delivery but all is fine now
Can't get him to get the hang of breastfeeding but will persevere, hopedilly be home tomorrowNew first time mummy to a gorgeous little boy!

Congratulations NikkiAnn! What a lovely name you've chosen. Glad the labour was relatively ok
Been at the Next sale this morning, bought quite a few baby things, glad I went. No point in getting myself clothes so bought DH some clothes instead.0 -

This nursing bra arrived & seems OK if anyone is looking - they also do it in black & there are usually some 10% off codes around.
Congrats Nikki - hope the BF is resolved0 -

I haven't braved it this year! Luckily managed to order quite a bit for my boys online. It's times like this I wish I'd found out the gender, the baby section in the next sale is usually really good!0 -
:wave:Hi ladies!! Hope everyone is alright, haven't been on for ages as ds chucked my phone in a bucket of water when dh was supposed to be watching him, so not amused!! Too much like hard work to log on to laptop or tablet all the time, though have this morning, needed to catch up
Congrats, Sparkles, mini and nicki!! Glad your babies all arrived safe and well, hope your all doing ok! Cant believe I missed so many BAs! Lovecake is our last boldie! Cant believe how near the top I am, time has flown by.
Had a few twinges but nothing much, think baby has turned round now as was back to back so happy about that, been really struggling with this heat and my feet and ankles are awfully swollen coupled with back/hips/heart really feel like im falling apart. Feeling kinda useless to tell the truth, trying to carry on as normal for dd and ds but could have cried when I got to bed last night I was in so much pain. Sorry for whinging.
Hello to all the new ladies!!

Congrats Nikki!
Aw Sam, I hope the heat eases off a bit soon so you at least feel slightly better. I'm sure no one minds whinging, think we have all had a good whinge at some point on here!
On the topic of slings/carriers, I am not too fussed on getting one but DH is adament he wants one so will have to do some investigating. Thanks for all the ideas on brands Queen B.

Thanks toothfaiy, don't like to admit when im struggling, like to just get on with things but its a little hard sometimes.
We had two slings with ds, one was a froggy position one (can't remember the make) and the other was a lifft, much preferred that didn't hurt my back as much and he was a few months old when I got that. Do fancy a stretchy one as really enjoyed carrying him and made it easier to do things sometimes0 -
Congratulations Nikkiann - knew it wouldn't be long for you! :j Possibly a royal baby name....oooh!;)
Don't beat yourself up if breastfeeding doesn't work out - it didn't for me and despite all the "advice" and mixed support - I am combination feeding - electric pumps are fab (I am using an Ameda Lactaline) and I back up with Actimil ready made (carton) formula.
There is soooo much pressure on you to breastfeed - it had me in tears at several points - but when my mw discharged me a couple of days ago - she agreed with me how hard it was and said at the end of the day it wasn't worth beating myself up about it - and the most important thing was a happy mama.
I have never felt such relief when I went over to bottles - and baby is still getting breastmilk - so its a solution that suits both of us. I do hope it works out for you - but just to let you know that if it doesn't....it honestly isn't the end of the world x0
