That's how I did it last time, although after writing out all the incoming and outgoing on a spreadsheet I just tried not to spend as I never trust the figures lol.
I've been a tad emotional this evening. Crying for no good reason. Baby has head or feet rammed into my diaphragm and if I bend forward it hurts for a 5-10th minutes afterwards. Not easy to avoid bending when DS is determined to get me to play with spinning tops or jigsaws or diggers on the floor. Sitting on the floor is just as I bad and then I can't get back up. Only 6 months for goodness sake! Anyway whinge over.

Oh no budgets :-/
I've written it so many times and I never have any money left for food etc, worrying!! I have got savings, which i'll have to use, i could go back to work earlier if i need to but i will try my best to have my 33 weeks.
dh lost his job last year and now has a rubbish one so we depend on me for the big income, unfortunately dh isnt able to carry a baby being a man so our finances have to suffer....
We have mentioned the posibility of me going back full time and him cutting down hours after maternity leave, not what either of us want though so we'll see.Still here..... but working on that!0 -
Massive congrats sparkles!
Is anyone else freaking out about the actual giving birth bit?
My anxiety dreams appear to have resurfaced.

Hi everyone,
not liking the heat at all, bedtime for me as well seems a bit useless, its really painful to turn over in bed because of my back and hips and then needing to go for a wee as well and then it being so light and noisey with the birds in the morning because we have to have the curtains and windows open...
really feeling the need the last week for afternoon naps not sure if its normal for these amounts of weeks or because im not sleeping in the night.
Just wanted to add to the things that people say which are annoying- the number of times ive said something like my hips hurt, I feel uncomfortable, im hot .... and replies such as it will only get worse, you are only going to get bigger make me mad, dont people realise all I want is 30 secs of sympathy! but it seems all doom and gloom.
I also keep getting: forget your life once the baby is born, you wont get a good nights sleep for a few years (not that I am at the moment!) By the time you have fed the baby it will be time to start again... really making me feel anxious and a bit down, and I know this is coming from others mothers but they seem to revel in telling me how bad things will be, why dont they say nice things such as it will be lovely to meet your little one?
On other news we have our pram we picked the I can bee hive travel system, really good service with kiddicare, next day delivery, pram was half price and they had an offer on to match mothercare with 15% off when you spend over £100.
Put it together yesterday and really impressed with how it all clicked to the chassis of the pram and the flat carry cot is seperate to the pushchair bit so we shouldnt need to use that bit for a little while and can store that bit away.
Felt weird pushing it though, last time I touched a pram I was probably 10 with a doll in it!
Oh and the good news of the week for us is our offer on a house has been accepted and the mortgage offer has come through, cant believe we are going to have a baby and move as well! They say on average it takes 12 weeks to complete and I have 13 weeks left to 40 weeks  so trying not to stress in worrying about packing.
Hopefully the house will move quickly and we will be in before to settle everything in for baby, but it might end up the moving van taking a detour to labour ward on the way!
Right enough chit chat, hope everyone has a cool relaxing day whatever they are doing and congrats sparkles on your little one.

Congrats Sparkles! This sounds really bizzare but I keep hearing the name Olivia like it's some kind of sign. I'm not sure I believe in that kind of thing but it does keep coming back to me.
Not sure if it's me or OH that is the problem but he's been sniping at me the last few days over absolutely nothing. This morning it was that I'm not taking breakfast to work because I have cheerios in the office that someone gave me yesterday - apparently I should be taking the cereal we have in the house because I'm "not letting" him buy anymore until the stuff we have is done and he doesn't want bran flakes/special k. Honestly - !!!!!!?!
Getting slightly concerned about stuff I ordered on Wednesday - I asked for it to be delivered to my office 'cause it said 3-5 working days but then I got an email through with an estimated delivery of Sat 20th which is after I finish, eek!

Hey all, sorry I haven't posted in a while. I have been reading along but haven't had the chance to post.
Congrats to sparkles and welcome to all the newbies, there seems to be a lot at the moment.
In our household I earn the most money too, the only way we are going to be able to live while I'm on smp is by topping up my wages with savings. Not ideal I know but needs must. Once my savings run out I will have to return to work :-(
MV strangely I'm not that scared about giving birth, despite there being relatively few straightforward births on here recently it seems. I guess mostly because I've never done it before, I think if you know what to expect it can make the worrying worse? Also because I'm pretty uncomfortable now and I think when labour starts it will be the beginning of the end if you see what I mean.
I can't believe how fast time is flying now! My baby will officially be fully grown on Sunday :-O
Hope everyone's well
Baleb

Maybe it's because I have given birth before I am worrying..having said that, each birth is totally different and whilst my first labour was an epic 28 hours, I have been told that subsequent labours are often much quicker.
I think I'm just tired, and I think I can't quite believe there are only 6 weeks left!
Had a bit of a panic yesterday about not having sorted stuff, but actually we have got the main bits we need - ordered some baby gro's, have vests and hats for baby in hospital, have a new moses basket/stand/bedding etc. OH has ordered a new ISOFIX base for the car..just need to get DS's car seat out of the loft and see if we are happy to reuse it.
I guess things like painting a nursery etc are really not priority, but me being me, I like to have everything in order or I start to feel a bit out of control.
I think once I get my hospital bag sorted I'll feel better too. Will be doing a bit Boots shop next week to get stuff for that.Metranil dreams of becoming a neon,You don't even take him seriously,How am I going to get to heaven?,When I'm just balanced so precariously..0 -
Good morning everyone. Last day of work here
I'm getting increasing uncomfortable with the size of the bump and the wriggling that baby is doing but only another 4 weeks to go hopefully then life will change again.
I'm not worried about the birth - done it twice before, both natural births 6 days over due date, induced with second - there's only one way for it to come out and you soon forget it once baby is here.
Didn't have too bad a sleep last night, up twice for a pee and another twice with cramp in my feet... I really think it's nature's way of preparing you for being up with baby :rotfl:
Speak later everyone - congratulations on the birth of Olivia Sparkles.... from the list of mse babies born, there's a lot of decent weights on there - most are in the 8lb region. I'm fully expecting this one to top 9lb - ho hum, just call me John Wayne!Mortgage Aug 22 £280,000

While I mind on, I was in Morrison's yesterday and they have a fab kids sale on just now. Loads of stuff all half price - I have bought stuff for DS from there before and it's good quality and washes well. There wasn't much unisex baby stuff but I got a couple of cute wee sleep suits & vests in white with grey & orange writing saying "Mummy & Daddy love me"... got 2 sleepsuits & 5 vests for £6. They had gorgeous stuff for baby boys and girls though if you know what flavour you're having. HTHMortgage Aug 22 £280,000
