    By my calcs: £136*4 = £544 + £20.30*4 = £81.20 = £625.20 Anywhere close to what you got?

Had my 28 week growth scan yesterday - looked at beans heartbeat for a while & could actually see the ectoptic beats - meeting with the anesthestist went ok - basically saying they reccommend i go for an epidural because it would be easier if anything went wrong

    photo.jpg

Started the nursery on Monday - my house has officially been hit by a bomb - it's like an assault course just to get into bed :rotfl: Not good for hubby with his OCD - woke me up Tuesday morning screaming because of a nightmare

Found out the triggers to my vomitting spells - i believe it is my gallstones & eating greasy foods - i.e. something deep fried - i spose it will help me control my weight more easily? :o

For those of you who have a higher BMI & under consultant care because of it - did you get told anything at all about what to put on/not put on whilst pregnant? I am finding it frustrating that all the professionals look at me & say i need all the extra scans etc. but they don't weigh me at any of the appointments (only at the booking appointment) & don't ask about what i am eating etc. I don't understand the point in being under extra care when they don't look at the issue that made me in consultant care in the first place! Not even been given a 'typical' plan of what to eat

    Sorry for the rant

When changing weekly into monthly, multiply by 52 then divide by 12. Months are slightly more than 4 weeks. In reality tho, statutory maternity pay is paid weekly to you employer, so some months you will receive 4 weeks and some months you'll get 5.
2016 MFW OPd £2000, 2015 MFW OPd 3000 then bought new bigger house with bigger mortgage.
    MFW OPd 2014 £2000 2013 £9700 2012 £2848.39 2011 £2509.58 2010 £11000 2009 £112002008 £4939 :D

    I went with 136*52/12 = 589.33 and 20.30*52/12 = 87.97 so £677 odds total.

Ok so after being in agony all day the baby has moved and I've just got comfortable in work when it's time to go home. I think I've got an awkward one in here. It will probably get it's head nicely nestled into my bladder about 10pm again ;)

yeah but you only get 33 weeks worth of SMP/MA, not a whole year. which is a difference of roughly £2500 (well 32 weeks of SMP after the 90% finishes which is £4376.96)

Never actually thought of that, but it's difficult to work out a monthly budget - gonna be a few quid out either way. After the SMP finishes I'm hoping to go back to work (one way or another) so won't be down the £2500 - suppose it depends on what months you're off with regards to the 4/5 week months. I'm not ruling out that I'll be bored enough in the next few weeks to work it out exactly though :rotfl:

    Meeeeee!!!

Well sort of. The first midwife I saw refused to believe my bmi was c33 so she sent me to the consultant with a bmi on record of 36! The consultant took one look at me, weighed me (at 20wks) and said my bmi wasn't high enough (probably from throwing up!), she said my fat was "evenly spread" and so she had nothing to help me with. However, she did tell me not to diet, eat sensibly and to keep taking the pregnacare. She said her main concern was that there was very little tummy fat, so all her machines would work when the time comes. Some ladies have a larger midrif and they can monitor baby through layers of insulation, then the mother is at higher risk if they have complications. She gave me nothing at all to take away, except some scans as she asked if I wanted to see OR hear baby, I wanted both!

I wouldn't be worried if the midwife or consultant isn't worried.

I personally would budget it at £136.78*4. That way if you have an extra week that's brilliant, but if you don't, you're not screwed for that month :)

You're probably right - I used to work like that when I was paid weekly (before we went to joint accounts) and a 5 week month was like winning the lottery :rotfl: I'm off to figure out how many there are when I'm on ML!
