Make sure you do set up a FB group ladies. I am a member of one of the older groups set up through the pregnancy club (the one 2b set up) and I can honestly say we are all the bestest of friends, the support we give each other is amazing and of course you can share pics and tmi moments to your hearts content without lurkers having a nose.
It feels like an age since I was last posting in here but still like to read every now and then to see how everyone is getting on.I :heart2: saving money0 -

FB group sounds great - let me know if there's anything I can do to help.
Abis, both of your daughters are gorgeous - those pics are soooo cute!
Mrs J - it's lovely to see you, I'm sure you'd be welcome on here whenever - I can't believe Holly is nearly 6 months  It feels like yesterday you got your BFP.
Mincepiemonster - you were brave to wear non-maternity jeans out to mealI can imagine they were a little, erm, restrictive on the way home :rotfl: Your DH's idea of a 'sleepy snack' sounds lovely though, I may have to tell DH all about it... *hint hint*
MrsBunny - I totally understand the sensation of needing a break in the middle of a meal. I had this (alongside horrible heartburn) for most of the third trimester, but it seems to have relieved a little now baby has dropped. I hope you start to feel more comfortable soon.
Happy Birthday Becca, glad you've had a nice day and lots of prezzies.
Claire, caramel pie sounds absolutely lush! Maybe we should all get baking again - there seemed to be a baby rush last time the thread was on a collective baking binge
Ellie, glad you managed to get some time off to recover - I think it's easy for others to underestimate how much sleep you need when pregnant and how disturbed your nights can be. Hope the infection clears up soon and you start to feel more yourself.
Afm, I'm still upset by what happened at the appointment ut trying to come to terms with a more 'what will be will be' approach. I'm having my baby shower on Sunday so hopefully that will cheer me up and I'll be back to myself by next weekI'm sure baby is preparing herself, I've been getting lots of pressure and crampy pains down below as well as really intense BH (usually at night). Whenever I'm feeling stressed about things I just remember that however she arrives, she'll be with us in a matter of a few weeks

Congratulations Ice and Abis. Aliona is gorgeous Abis as is your other DD and I love Aliona's little suit. Where did you get it from?
Hope you enjoy your mat leave Jemb and get lots of rest.
Firefly - I feel your pain with GD. Just got told today I have it too - gutted! My consolation of not drinking at Christmas was to be stuffing my face with as much chocolate as poss! :rotfl: not laughing now thoI have to see the diabetes midwife on Monday so I will find out what I can and can't eat.
I haven't been posting much but am reading back and keeping up to date with you all. Just haven't had the chance or the energy to reply.

Sorry to hear you have it too, I felt like such a failure when I got my diagnosis. I knew with pcos and a family history of type II I would be high risk so had been eating really healthy since getting pregnant. Still managed to get it tho:( So far I am managing to control it with just diet and home testing. Christmas is going to suck this year. Everywhere I look there are mince pies and chrismassy cupcakes and chocolate. I am managing to resist those tempatations but the thing I miss the most is bread. Even the wholemeal bread gives me a big blood glucose spike so I can only have a really small portion with lunch. My OH is being great about it and cooking and eating the same diabetic diet as me. He says it is an opportunity for us all to learn to eat a little healthier:kisses3:
I had my second growth scan this morning. Despite diabetics mothers having 'large' babies my little one is measuring small on the scans. At the last scan he was in the 30th percentile and now he is in the 10th:( I have no idea how accurate all these measurements are as on the measuring tape part of the chart he is waaaay above the lines but the scans have him following a completely different pattern. Have the diabetic consultant on Monday and have lots of questions to ask.
Abis - Lovely photos. What great looking children.:)
Mrs J - What Amy said..... only feels like yesterday we were all congratulating you on your BFP:D The time goes so fast.0 -
Fire fly I read somewhere the other day that what you eat doesn't bring on GD so however healthily you were eating you can't blame yourself.
Actually I might have seen a dr talking about it on tv.
Thank goodness or I'd have it for sure. I've never really been a savoury person, I really feel for you!
Shows how inaccurate the tape measure thing is then!0 -
Congrats ice! Good call on the C section for that one..!
Ditto to KScarlet's comment, FB group sounds good to me (if you'd have me, technically I should have stopped lurking here nearly 5 weeks ago........).
