Becca - that's horrible being sick during the night. Hope that's it over with at least - hugs x

Amyloofoo - meant to say in my previous post, it was awful the way you were treated, changing things at last minute. Hopefully if you jump up and down enough they might see sense and stick with the original plan.

AFM - I am such a sugar addict so maybe the GD diagnosis was good in a way as I will be changing to a much healthier diet. Only thing is there are soooo many things to consider. Even Rennies for my awful heartburn have sucrose and glucose in them! Hmmm  Plus I already have 3 pregnancy complications, I don't need another one! All long as my wee boy gets here ok that's all I'm really concerned with.

Dammit, have caught the office cold that's been going round. Popped to chemist last night and all they suggested was safe was Vicks. Supposed to be hosting a girly lunch today so will have to send the girls to a cafe instead :(

Yayyy, am so pleased that so many of yous are interested in the group :j I was thinking the same thing TL - I've 'known' some of you for so long now - I don't want to lose touch with yous all. And it should be a great way to support each other too. Nothing at all to do with being nosy and seeing more piccies :o:p

I have set up a group - just trying to work out the best way to sort it and how you join it so have sent a PM to becca and hopefully we can work out a way to keep it safe from lurkers (not that theres anything wrong with you guys who lurk! its just when theres piccies of us and babies and no doubt the TMI that we will share it wants to be as 'safe' as possible)

I'm sure the way that 2b did it was that you sent over your FB user name to the admin people, and they send you an invite to the group. Just trying to test out this theory tho

The group will be open to anyone who has posted on here I guess. With babies say 1 year and below?? And obv pregnant peeps too. That way we will have a range of experienced people with babies who can pass on information to newer mums, and the newer mums can pass on info to the pregnant peeps etc. I don't want to put an 'age limit' on it as such, as some of the TTC peeps got pregnant sooner than me or later than me, but I'm interested in all of them - and also some people I 'met' via the pregnancy boards rather than the TTC ones. What I am trying to do is make it for peoples who we have chatted with. So for example some of the new TTCers who are currently getting their BFPs could set up their own group in future - but if some of the old timer TTCers wanted to join this group then I would be more than happy for that. I guess it will be a little tricky to sort, but what we can do is make a start and play it by ear with rules etc later (haha, not even 10 mins in and I'm making rules and trying to organise things. I should so lay off being a control freak!)

I have the inlaws coming over today so will be busy most of the day I imagine. Hopefully by tomorrow we can have worked out the logistics and got it all up and running though.

Hope you are feeling better now Becca xx

Sounds like a good idea Abi otherwise you may as well just join a mother & baby group with random ppl in who you don't know iyswim?

    Ill pm you my name.

Becca hope you feel better soon. It's not nice being sick I've certainly had enough to last me a lifetime! Maybe was something you ate?

Fran you can use a saline nasal spray & also paracetamol if you get a high temp.

GD is not caused by diet so please don't feel guilty the pregnancy hormones just affect the way your body produces insulin. However tweaking your diet is how you can reduce the impact on it. There are two main diabetes charities that have great information on their websites to tide you over until you can ask your HCP specific questions.

I am sorry to say I won't be able to join you on a Facebook group, although it sounds like a lovely idea, I do hope you all keep posting here too :)

My bump has expanded yet again and a lot of the maternity clothes I own now no longer fit  thankfully I only have a couple of weeks left in work and then I can spend the rest of my pregnancy in joggy bottoms :)

Today I am taking my DD out for afternoon tea which will be lovely. I just want to spend some one on one time with her before the baby comes so I have planned some days out and fun days in over the next few weeks.
Taking responsibility one penny at a time!

morning ladies.....oh dear, please can someone shout at me...not to do too many things at once!

really fancied hash browns with brown sauce for breakfast so I pop to the shop to buy said hash browns (first thing I have really craved!) popped a few in the oven and went upstairs with the duster.....next minute smoke alarm was beeping away, completely forgot about my hash browns...they are now in the bin as they are no longer recognisable - whoops. on the plus side, upstairs is clean!!

feeling very pregnant today, tummy is huge and I am waddling slowly. got lots of things to do today but I must plan breaks to rest otherwise I will be wiped out by 2.

I am happy that I am not the only one to have my dinner in two halves, my DH is always on the scrounge for 2nds as he has hollow legs, so as well as trying to make room for more, I have to keep DH hands off my dinner too!!

Amyloofoo - I suffer with heartburn too, last night I thought I was on fire it hurt that much.

Becca - happy birthday for yesterday hope you had a lovely day. I am not sure if I will be a wife or a mummy on my next birthday, my birthday is the beginning of feb, baby due 21st feb, but if it is like me, it might be early!
Hope you are feeling better today - it might be a sickness bug rather than pregnancy?

Abis - I will PM you my name too for the FB group - thankyou for setting it up, I have no idea how you would go about setting a group up.

hope you all have a lovely Saturday xxx

No worries - its not intended to replace this or the newborn thread or anything - just a way to try and keep in touch for some of us. The likes of MrsJ I have 'known' for coming up 2 years now as we started TTC at a similar time but she doesn't post on the newborn thread so I haven't been able to stalk her erm, I mean keep in touch with her  Some people won't have FB or anything, so it defo won't be for everyone - but for me I use FB regularly so it makes sense for me.
