I am sooooo tired today! Trying to convince myself that I want to do some housework as it won't take much to get the house looking good but all I really want to do is go to sleep :o

Maybe I should make a cuppa and get a bit done and then slink off to bed in an hour?

Ahhh such beautiful girls Abi! :D

Rummer, I find that by allowing myself to have little breaks in between jobs helps me to get things done and I try to do tasks in little bursts. You'll enjoy your nap all the more knowing there's nothing to be done when you wake up though so do as much as you can then you're free to laze about! :)
Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!

what beautiful girls you have Abis, DD1 looks very proud :)

Rummer I'd nap then get the house work done, I either set aside a specific time to start it or i'll deliberately watch tv that has adverts so i that i do the housework during the ad breaks in short bursts.
of course, that's harder to do now that i mainly watch Netflix lol

    Hi Ladies,

hope you are all well, I am shattered, just back from Liverpool and the hospital. Had my GTT test this morning and they were running late, so I had to wait an extra 45 minutes, not good when your not feeling too good and need to eat, I hate fasting. I 'pinched' a bagel and some muffins from the breakfast buffet this morning and I had them in the boot of my car.....that was all I could think of when I had my 2 hour wait in the hospital waiting room!!I am sure I was drooling!! :rotfl::rotfl:

Can highly recommend the St4ybridge suite5 hotel near the albert dock in Liverpool. A nice little complimentary room upgrade too :D. They cater more for a long term guest as their rooms come with a kitchen (much nicer than the one we have at home - cooker, fridge, dishwasher etc) and a living 'space' or room depending on room type. As we were upgraded with had a separate living room which was nice as sometimes I hate watching tv on the bed before your ready to go to bed in standard hotel rooms. Bathroom was lovely too. Complimentary breakfast - hubby was not impress with the hot breakfast of scrambled egg, bacon and beans - he wanted the full works, hash browns, sausages, black pudding etc they also had the normal cereals, toast and pastries to chose from too.
5 minute walk to the albert dock (we were walking against the wind!) and a 10 min walk to Liverpool one :D. Hotel is also next to the Liverpool echo arena.

anyway, a lovely evening was had and I am glad we got this night away and I think that will be it now.

baby gave me some very strong kicks yesterday, I think he might be kicking a nerve as the pain is horrible in my side (like a stitch) 5 Times yesterday I was bent over in annoy! No strong kicks today, think baby is sulking because we had to fast this morning!!!!!!

Congratulations Ice and Abis. Aliona is gorgeous Abis as is your other DD and I love Aliona's little suit. Where did you get it from?

Hope you enjoy your mat leave Jemb and get lots of rest. :)

Firefly - I feel your pain with GD. Just got told today I have it too - gutted! My consolation of not drinking at Christmas was to be stuffing my face with as much chocolate as poss! :rotfl: not laughing now tho :( I have to see the diabetes midwife on Monday so I will find out what I can and can't eat.

I haven't been posting much but am reading back and keeping up to date with you all. Just haven't had the chance or the energy to reply.

To those recently diagnosed with GD I send you hugs! I have coped ok with mine and there are treats that you can have like sugar free jelly and other tasty things, just ask your HCP what they would recommend :)

Well I went for a nap in the end and I am now trying to get the house work done at speed so I can sit very still again :rotfl: We are out or have people round all weekend so I am making sure that I eat healthily and rest so that I don't miss anything _party_

  • Hugs to all those with GD. I can't imagine what I would do if I was not allowed sugar

I called in sick to work today. I've been dragging myself in all week and really struggling, was crying before work in the morning with sheer exhaustion and today admitted defeat. I'm only sleeping 3-4 hours at night, and even that is broken, so teaching 6 lessons of unrelenting teenagers is getting hard.

I went to see my GP to see if there is anything I can take, e.g. herbal nytol, but he said not. However, I did discover that I have a urine infection, which does explain why I sometimes have to pee 4 times every half hour.

Managed to have a sleep this afternoon after listening to my natal hypnotherapy CD, so I feel a bit more human now.

Rummer - sleep is defo more important than housework!:D
    Enjoy your Friday evening ladies
