Hi mrsj28 how are you?
Becca happy birthday Hun! How old are you now? Are you joining the 30 club or not quite yet? Hope you have an ok day at work at least it's Friday!
Kerri - oh so can they only estimate it if you have a scan in the third trimester then?
Congratulations ice! Wow what a whopper! X0 -
Congratulations Ice! :J I'll bet you're glad he came out of the sunroof at that size!
Baby's been very quiet today... after grumbling so much about him beating me up from the inside he's now refusing to squirm so I'm worrying! Hoping he's just having a lie-in and will wake up soon.Hang on... just as I wrote that started to move! I swear he knows when I'm talking about him!
Happy birthday Becca! I wasn't pregnant on my last birthday (concieved the weekend after!), if I'd known it was the last one pre-baby I'd have made a much bigger deal of it than I did!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
Congratulations Ice! he is a bonny boy indeed
Birdie that's what i always think about when they say 'you must let the midwife know if you're feeling reduced movements' as they know that the little angels just want to make you worry then show you up in front of medical professionals lol
Happy Birthday Becca! I didn't celebrate my last birthday much as it was two days after my twelve week scan so already felt on top of the world lol definitely got rat-arsed the one before that though lol
Kerri I'm sure you'll build a support network anyway, you've got NCT friends and once baby's here there'll be lots of classes to make parent friends at
BigZ hope you're feeling better soon
haha told a colleague that little lowe was measuring big because she's sticking her big bum out and he said she must be twerking :rotfl:i do quite like knowing its definitely a bum though in a weird way, makes her seem more real now i know what part it is i'm giving a pat lol
course last night i was in a fit of giggles as i decided that her being a girl meant that i had two vaginas and found it hilarious, DH thought i was mad, but then again he always does lol
oh and yesterday i got officially made redundant9 working days left then that's it, it'll be the first time i've been unemployed since i was 16, not sure what i'm going to do with myself until baby comes along!

Hi Ladies,
Thank you for all your good wishes :j
We are home from hospital - they released me later on the same day as I was healing so well and feeling really good. Am so pleased to be home - although we were on high flood risk last night and this morning to add a bit of drama to having a newborn:eek: All ok tho - and think we are passed the worst of the risks now...
Aliona is doing ever so well. We're slowly getting to know each other and learn what things mean. Had a rough night last night cos she had tummy problems and trying to poo - twas hard cos I knew what it was - but some things you just can't fix and have to wait it out... :rotfl:
Me and DH are working ever so well as a tag team - I managed to catch up on some good sleep yesterday in the day and I handed over duties to him in the night when I was in need of some sleep. Am so proud of how well he is doing as he has never really held a newborn before let alone anything else. When I woke up yesterday and came down she was all snuggled in to him with his top off as he had listened about the skin to skin advice. :happyhear
I will get round to posting piccies soon - I promise! Haven't uploaded anything to the laptop yet.
Congratulations ice - what a whopper he was! Bet you were super glad with the C-section given those stats! Hope you are recovering well.
Lily - hope your little lady is doing well and you are able to all go home soon.
MrsJ - I do think of you often so its lovely to hear from you  Hope your little girl is well? Would be lovely to stay in touch with a few of you guys - I know 2b used to have a facebook group for all the newborn mums to post on securely. Maybe I could get one set up so that we can share piccies etc? Its funny after sharing so much via the TTC boards and beyond how attached to peoples stories etc you become and then I don't like to not know the endings :rotfl:

Morning! Another trek to the post office this morning although it took less time today :j I collected a window bird feeder to put on the nursery window so baby will have birds visiting
Ice Congratulations!!!
Kerri I am shamelessly copying all your great montessori ideas :rotfl: although I doubt I will make a quilt as I started one for my daughter 3 years ago and it is still in a partially made heap. Crochet is more my thing and I have made a blanket but I might have a go and the crochet covered toys I have seen on the montessori sites.
I have been thinking more and more about labour and I think at my next appointment I am going to get them to talk me through the fine print so that I know exactly what I am getting into. It was far easier with my DD as I was just left to go myself.
Once I have finished my cuppa I am going to go and fold baby clothes and put them awayTaking responsibility one penny at a time!0 -
Piccies of Aliona :j
I can't get the pics to rotate the right way - sorry!
Obv the bottom one is of my beautiful DD1 with her lil sis.
Looking forward to hearing all your birth announcements.
Thank you so much to everyone for your support during this pregnancy. Its not been so easy for so many different reasons, and to have a place to come on to and chat about things has been such an amazing help.
Will see yous across on the newborn thread :beer:Married my lobster in July 2011
