I was 8lb-something and OH was a month early so was 6lb-something, I'm hoping ours is somewhere in that range. :) I don't know why but OH is convinced that the little man will be early (I have a feeling he'll be disappointed!) so was saying last night 'Wow, only 10 weeks left... but really it could be as little as 6!'. Really scared me! :o

We were both quite lazy too, me especially, so hoping he takes after me and is a nice, chilled baby who doesn't want to do too much too soon! :p

I'm doing ok today. Had a rubbish nights sleep though, lots of contractions and a very sore feeling tummy. Couldn't get comfy really. I think I had a bit of a gassy tum as well which baby kept pressing on so I was feeling awfully sorry for myself at one point!

Abi, if you've been having contractions and you've lost your plug, you might find you're actually in labour when you go in to be induced.

That happened to me with DD1 - three days (or actually nights) of stop-start labour (I think when I googled it was called 'prodromal labour'). I was booked for induction at 40+12, which was the morning after the third night of these weakish contractions. But on that third night the contractions got much stronger, and when I went in for induction and they checked me, I was actually 5cm dilated!

Either way, it doesn't sound as if you'll need much inducing ;)

Hi Courgette  thanks for checking in on me. I'm sure your right - its just the last minute nerves :o

Lannieduck - that's on of my hopes that they will find I am already dilated :rotfl: I was having quite a lot of contractions a while back but they tailed off for a few days. Last night was defo the worst/best night in a while for them. If I could have been bothered to wake myself up properly I would have timed them, but I was so dozy I just kept waking up with each one and then nodding off again. They can be quite strong ones at times, so I do think they must do something - but theres never a definite pattern to them and they don't increase in intensity.

I was favourable to induction last time, so I'm not worried about the process in itself - I think I'm even more favourable this time as last time I didn't lose my plug beforehand etc. Hoping for a quick and easy labour with same day discharge - but we shall see!!!

That happened to my friend, she was 11 or 12 days over due, she went into labour the day before she was due to be induced, when she got there they said oh you must have been in labour the past week youve been getting those pains you told us about - youre already x cm gone, so she was pleased too!

Gap have 40% off today. Just ordered a very cute pink baby blanket and a couple of sleep suits. And a pair of little tights/leggings. And a maternity jumper. Whoops lol

I may have also been on the New Look website and made the most of 20% discount on maternity wear on there too...
