I'm having a csection on 3/12 due to baby being breech, so not long for me now!

So am I, although not because baby is breech (although she actually is) :o

Abis - Sorry you are still here. If it's any help I think you are doing remarkably well considering how frustrated you must be. 40+12 must be one of the most overdue we've had on here. Hoping and praying s/he comes soon....it would be slightly ridiculous if I end up delivering before you.

I'm very anxious at the moment. Obviously 3rd December is earlier than we had initially planned but due to my anxiety my consultant thought it best if it was brought forward. I know baby will be premature, small and she has a bed booked in special care although I'm hoping the steroids I've had help. They hurt just as much as I remembered from last time but it's a small price to pay.

Hoping everyone else is doing okay and welcome Claire.

I think we'll end up delivering on the same day lily as thats when they'll induce me. I just can't see me actually setting off by myself at this stage :o I lost my plug ages ago now, and all other signs are just not there now.

I'm feeling more anxious towards the end too but for different reasons. I worry that the baby will be too big, or get stuck, or the placenta will be compromised and the baby will die :o I don't think its helping me in the slightest that its our angel due date tomorrow as its all a reminder of what we have lost :o all the bad memories are coming back :(

Sorry you are struggling with it all too. Soon we will be holding our babies and all the anxiety will be all gone

  • Good luck Abi and lily.

Going so far over Abi must be difficult, but I'm sure all will be well and baby will be here in a couple of days safe and sound :)

Good luck Abi & lily. Can't believe you will have your babies soon!

Abi I love the video, I've managed to get a video of some kicks but obviously nothing as wiggly as that yet!

I'm still feeling very anxious but 24 weeks is an important milestone that I was scared I wouldn't get to a couple of weeks ago. I'm just taking it one day at a time really finding it hard to think too far ahead so just crossing off anything I can!

I've done nearly all my Xmas shopping, wrapped most of it & posted nearly everything that needs to be sent off too, normally I'm never this organised but I can't stand having a huge pile of stuff in the spare room! Written all my cards & posted them too! 99% I've bought online - I think the lady who works for a courier company and our postman must think im some kind of obsessive shopper as I've had parcels arriving most days for the past couple of weeks!

Can't bear to go out shopping though as when the baby moves right to the front I find it hard to walk more than a snails pace. Does anyone else get that who isn't like 9 months pregnant? I feel like an old granny!

Going for a roast at my parents today and relaxing the rest of the day whilst getting DH to do a few jobs round the house :)

Claire, my pace has been mostly slow for weeks and weeks now. When the PGP flares up I have to take tiny steps. It doesn't help that my maternity jeans always feel like they're sliding down. :)

Delurking from 12-24 thread in case anyone is interested in this:

I just worked out that at Amazons cheapest ever prices it's about £77 worth. At current prices more like £95 worth. With 20% off today plus Quidco it works out about £57 delivered. :)

Aww, sorry to hear things didn't go well yesterday Abis - hope today is a more successful baking day, and we all know that cakes seem to spark deliveries on this thread so I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for you.

Lily, I'm pleased the hospital are taking things so seriously and that your little girl will be in your arms so soon. Wishing for health, a very short hospital stay and super-quick recovery for the both of you :grouphug: How much does DS understand about what is going on? Is he excited or bemused?

Claire - it's so lovely to see you on this thread, I hope things are a lot less dramatic for you from now on x

If you do end up being induced, those risks and concerns should be put aside because during the induction process you will be regularly monitored. When I was induced at 40+12 I was on the monitor three times on the induction ward in the ten hours I was there and had three internal examinations. Then on delivery site I was straight on the monitor again. I had concerns about baby getting stuck (head was free at 40+7) but was continously checked.

:( The furniture is not fitting in the nursery the way I thought it would . OH doesn't seem bothered but I am [STRIKE]irrationally [/STRIKE] upset about it. I know it is silly but I had a picture of how it should look in my mind and it is not working out that way at all.
