Vic - kscarlet posted to say she'd had her little girl but bad Internet access. Think she will be home now but probably just busy. Hows things going with your little boy?

Claire - you are doing well with your xmas presents! I can't get past that baby needs to come first before I can think properly about christmas so there might not be so much things sorted this year now jealous of your roast! Altho DH is cooking so mustn't grumble...

Amy - it hasn't sparked labour yet but maybe you need to be successful with the baking I did manage to make some voile curtains for our bedroom after the cats had ruined the old ones so I was pleased that I managed to do something right

Thanks COMP. I got induced with DD so I know how it goes - its just the nerves and anxiety taking over as I get closer. I had a 3rd degree tear last time so I'm under a consultant this time for that stage. I was in surgery 2.5 hours after and they considered a colostomy bag as it was bad I healed really well and have no symptoms following it (can suffer from incontinence and inability to control gas etc) so I was lucky last time but it frightens me I might not be so lucky I think my angel due date is making me worry more tho.

Thanks abis. I sent her a pm but have not heard from her. Hopefully she will be relaxing, recovering and enjoying her precious little girl.

A fm, we're learning lots! Thomas is well and thriving...he is feeding so much I can't keep up! Thank god for nipple shields!

:eek: I am in the teens :eek: Only got 7 and a half weeks left :eek:

Up until the last few weeks I felt as if I had been pregnant forever, now however the time seems to be whizzing by and there is still so much to do! My plan is to get it all done before Christmas so that I can sit and relax for my last few baby free weeks.

I did chuckle to myself today though as I was sorting out the nappies and clothes as I was really enjoying it however I know soon it will be a never ending round of laundry :rotfl:

Abi no wonder you're scared maybe I'm really naive but I had no idea stuff like that could potentially happen with your bowels I know about tears obviously but that sounds horrible, poor you x

Evening ladies hope everyone is feeling well?

My little man has been kicking me for the last two hours in the same spot under my belly button and it's really ticklish!!!!! Keep giggling to myself. :-)

Think DH and I are gonna have a sneaky night away on Thursday in Liverpool, he is on a course at the jury's inn hotel and as I work in travel I can get a very cheap rate to stay in a hotel round the corner. We live 25 miles away and he is back there Friday so thought why not! It will be our last get away.....fingers cross the same rate is available tomorrow to book in work.

Hi all, weekend nearly over Good luck to the ladies close to birth, when I first joined this thread that seemed so far off but am only 8 weeks away now myself!
Hubby picked up new car on Saturday, a big relief. I stayed home and put my feet up (but also did a bit of housework, Christmas planning, online shopping etc!). Too hard to completely switch off.
Today we went to Kiddicare to look at buggies and car-seats. Think we're going for a baby style oyster with a britax car seat... Big factors for us are that handle adjusts to my height (5ft7) and his (6ft8) and that its lightweight enough for us to pack up and carry up to our first floor flat. It seems to fit the bill on both accounts. Will order once I'm on mat leave so I'm home to receive the delivery... Might hold our nerve til January sales but don't want to wait too late!
Had a bit of a meltdown crying in Kiddicare, just over tired and hormonal/ emotional. Had a short nap and spent most of the day in bed. Tomorrow is second NCT class, then hubby goes away with work Weds- Sunday. Hate it when he goes but I don't think I'll have my usual problem of not being able to sleep! He's going to the states so I asked him to look in baby gap if he gets the chance!
