Lily - I think it's just how we carry them in my family. I don't look much bigger at 34w than a photo of my sister at 35w from 4yrs ago. I've had growth scans at 26w, 29w, 32w, and now 34w. I'm also booked in for one at 36w which is the first scheduled one I've had, the others were because I don't fit their guidelines. Only a few weeks to go though and after speaking to my sister we've decided between us that bump is measuring small because half her head is in my pelvis so that's obviously where the other 6cm have gone lol.

ooh you've all intrigued me with the no pushing concept, so had a quick google and I found this article which contains a phrase i find amusing for no reason other than i'm immature - fetal ejection reflex. i now have in my head an image of my bits making a noise like the VCR used to then pop out comes baby lol

Lol TL, it's because your contractions should be capable of getting baby out without using forceful pushing. I guess it's a bit like when you do a number 2, if you just sit there and relax it all happens without having to push. I'm convinced that's why men spend so long in there, they're lazy and don't want to come out red-faced lol.

Well the sweep went as well as it could have. Posterior cervix but soft and she was able to hook it forward and get to 2cms. She said it was favourable but that she wouldn't place a bet on me just yet... She made me bleed so she defo did something and I have felt uncomfortable since and had contractions but nothing regular.

She recommended going for a walk to try and encourage things but has booked me in for another sweep on thursday if I need it and induction on monday. A bit upset about monday as a) they only left you go 10 days over last time so I thought Friday would be the worst case scenario and b) it's our angels 'birthday' on monday as it was due a year ago. I don't want to share that date iyswim... :o

Just got to hope something gets moving before then I guess...

:grouphug: I really hope things start moving for you before any induction is needed. Did you explain about Monday's anniversary? I'm sure they'd be sympathetic given the circumstances.

No I didn't mention it but I will on Thursday when I'm there for a sweep. Am just really hoping it doesn't come to that :o I think I am too comfy as a mothership!! My blood pressure etc is all really good. I just need to work on not being frustrated and impatient :o

  • Hugs abis - going over sucks, being bold isn't as glamorous as they make it out to be ;)

I hope things move quickly for you, it took the looming induction date to move me and Angelmommy on so hopefully the same will happen for you :)

I was sweep number 2 but it happened later that evening.

    Hi all

Well I was defo in a grumpy mood yesterday re Christmas........woke up this morning thinking a month today whooooo!!!

My next door neighbour has put their tree up already and had the lights on it this morning when I walked past in the dark at 7am....it was lovely....love the twinkle of the lights :-)

In my opinion thou, far to early to put the tree up, we will be getting ours around a week before I think (real).

Defo internet shopping this year....I'm going to get on it this week before it's too late. Pop into aldi earlier and bought some Xmas cake.....just had a slice with a brew YUM YUM YUM.

Sorry for my moan yesterday.....we don't have children in our family till little one is here, mum and dad are on holiday, I just felt poo.

Baby has been very active today, using my belly as a multi activity gym centre! I've no been able to sit still all day! Not good when you sit at a desk for 8 hours a day!!!

Love to all as feeling more positive today :-)
