Beautifully putAs for size they are not predicting anything merely monitoring very closely. So from 28 weeks I will be scanned every fortnight and then I think nearing the end it will go weekly. I am on insulin and metformin to hopefully prevent my baby growing too big.

The longer I go, the less confident I am of labour! It sounds silly, but if she'd come last week, I would have had no fear, I was so confident I could do it, and I wouldn't need an episiotomy etc as she'd be just 7lb ish.
Now I feel were heading for 8lbs, the panic is creeping in! Then in a week 9lbs!!
If I do go over, I will just be a mess & lose all confidence :-(
I wish I knew what causes their size, someone said it was because I drank diet coke in first pg, so I cut right back with no2. Still a heffer!
I'll just keep praying for 7lbs, and convince myself girls are little, then I'll push my best & see what happens!!:j - DS - 7

OneTree She is gorgeous!
Lily Please post if you feel it will help, everyone needs a place to talk through their pregnancy.
Durham-girl How did you get on with your scan?
Today was a busy day and I had my first growth scan which mercifully went really well and baby is measuring comfortably within dates which is such a relief.
I was given some more info about my induction today and it all sounds very intense. Throughout I will be very closely monitored and bed bound with my baby likely to go to special baby care straight away. Not ideal but a means to an end and I am glad they have spelt out what could happen so that I am not having to process things at the time.
On a cheerier note hubby is currently painting the nursery :j in only a few days I will be positioning bunting and folding freshly washed tiny clothes
I'm glad your scan went well too, sounds very similar to mine! We're firmly on team pink and she's measuring well within range, even a little on the small side. The induction part is different to how we expect labour to be, I had a drip in each hand, had to pee in a bed pan and not allowed to walk round in case it interfered with my glucose levels. My son spent a week in special care but he was born at 34 weeks as he started off large but his growth quickly tailed off. He's now 3 and the size of his 5 year old cousin!:j30/7/10:j

K Scarlet, they're not the only causes! In pregnancy your blood volume goes up by 40-50%, so your veins and arteries are bigger etc too and that's why you can get varicose and more visable veins. All piles/haemorrhoids are is varicose veins in an uncomfortable and more embarrassing place. Try not to worry too much, it's very common (I'm starting to struggle with it too), and you can use creams like Anusol to help (my gp both confirmed it was safe, and prescribed it for me, yesterday
) Hope it's not too uncomfortable for you
Loving the pics of the little ones :T Very cute
Can't remember anything else to reply toI'm like a zombie this week and after 3 appointments yesterday I'm even more out of it today
I've nearly finished my Christmas present shopping though, which is a great relief cos I'm losing the will to bother with much of anything at this point, and we've yet to finish MiniZee's room off.
All the furniture is up but we've no moses basket (one should be in store to check out tomorrow then my parents will order the one we decide on), the mattress for the cot bed needs ordering/buying and then I need to try out the sheets we've been given to check the size of them (none are in packets with sizes on) and wash and store the right ones and pass on the wrong ones. Same with pretty much all the oodles of clothes we've been given... Car seat base needs getting and other bits and pieces.
Plus my hospital bag is beginning to weigh on my mind, since my friend started nagging me about it a couple of days agoI really need to go (nursing) bra shopping too, a thought that doesn't thrill me  Could bra shopping be any more dull??
Might not sound like much left, but we're still in the process of sorting out other rooms/areas of the house. Lots of the space is being taken up with MIL's stuff from when she died 18 months ago too, so it's a particularly hard + emotive process for DH...
We'll get there, but right now my mind is just focusing on how much we need/I want done and it's starting to do my head in a bit, especially when I'm in zombie mode and can't drag myself up to do anything useful

Ooooh good luck MSM!
Another one to add to the book of weird and gross things to happen during pregnancy- piles! Maybe the reason why people don't warn you of all this stuff before you get pregnant is because they know it'll put you off, I mean, who wants funny looking leaky nipples, a hairy belly and a sore bum?!
Well done on getting your Christmas shopping done BZ, I haven't even started mine!I'm totally out of ideas as to what to buy everyone this year, usually I'm pretty good, but this year- not a freaking clue!
Your little girl is a beauty OTHG! Love her hair!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0
