Morning all, apologies but I feel slightly comforted by the fact I'm not alone with my freaky belly button :p sudocrem really helped I think it's just my poor skin over stretching! X

Congratulations Comp! Sorry it wasn't the birth you wanted but pleased Jessica is here :) x

Angel you're dogs are so cute! I used to cut my dogs fur it looked terrible! DH really wants a King Charles spaniel :) x

Good luck to overdue ladies especially Brunette, looking forward to to hearing news x

We are off out to appt later, just lazily going through baby washing still lots to do! Think I'll be washing for weeks!

TeamLowe that cardi is lovely :)

Birdie it's worth googling patterns or looking on Pinterest/ etc. last time I loved knitted goodies but I'm only really liking 'machine knitted' blankets/ cardies this time. Hand knitted makes me feel a bit sick (must be an odd pregnancy thing!) MIL knitted some nice hooded jumpers/ slightly more modern cardies which were nice. She hasn't bothered this time. I bought MIL all the wool so I chose nicer ones with a smoother finish. Baby double knit wool is nice, I really like 'style craft' it's fairly cheap but so soft without the fuzziness you get from the normal budget wool x

Awww looks great Baba! Surely the baby will come now that it's all done! :)

Thanks for the wool suggestions, no idea what she's currently using but will point her in the direction of nicer wools. :)

there we go, ive added you firefly :) and ive updated you to a boy fran.

back from my hospital appointment, theyve gone ahead and booked me for induction, so im into hospital on Friday 40+0 at 1 and wont be back home until i have a baby with me.
im excited but nervous at the same time, probably because i figured they werent likely to go ahead with induction, but im a bit disappointed im not getting any chance to get going either on my own or getting a sweep to try and help things along the way a bit first.
nevermind, at least i have an end to aim for!

baba - your nursery looks amazing! can you come do mine as well?? hehe

  • WOW Babamoose - Your wall looks amazing!!!

Fran-o - Yay for bump buddies:j My parents wedding anniversary is the next day so I am hoping it is a lucky date:)

Birdie - my mum has already knit the baby some very fancy woolly cardis and jumpers. He will wear them for a least one photo:D

The weather here is miserable so I have been sorting through all the baby stuff we have been given and organising his room. I can't believe how much stuff has been just handed to us. So far we haven't had to buy anything. Only going to have to buy nappies and powders & lotions etc and things for my hospital bag.
  • Thanks for the doggie comments. Tbh Chico annoyed me so much (I think he took advantage of the fact I couldn't bend right down to grab him!!) that I was tempted to leave him like that as a weird punishment....however, with baby imminent, there will be lots of guests who will see the state of him lol. Silly dog! He's 13ish (all my 3 are rescued one way or another) and doesn't like being forced to do anything he doesn't want to.

KScarlet - Charlie (cav King Charles spaniel) is adorable - he doesn't lick anyone ever but puts a paw on each of my shoulders and presses his head against my cheek - he gives the best hugs and is so placid. However - my goodness he moults. You could make a cardigan out of the amount he sheds on a daily basis (ok slight exaggeration but not far off).

I don't want a November baby - I've always thought he would be October. What's wrong with these babies?!? It's not that cold out and he has a million and one coats, cardigans and blankets anyway.

BabaMoose - the wall is awesome, how talented are you!

    Xx

LOL, I think we're just going to have a little photo shoot with the various knitted items (I forgot to mention the hat with the massive pompom on top! :p) and be done with it. My Mum always jokes that the baby will be dressed in posh clothes when he goes to visit her and head-to-toe Nana Knits when he visits the in-laws. :)
