I was trying to explain something technical to someone yesterday and I kept being distracted by a certain baby booting me endlessly in the ribs, I was not amused!

Planning on having a family trip out today and then listing things to sell while my OH paints the nursery :D I am so giddy about the thought of getting the nursery properly set up :D

We have decided to keep the dining room table and tuck it into the corner in the short term. It means I can use it as a craft space and when baby is a toddler he can use the underneath as a den, a win win all round [STRIKE]at least until he is old enough to complain [/STRIKE]

If anyone works out a way of explaining to the bumps that there is no exit via the belly button/hips/ribs no matter how persistent they are... even if they try all three at the time... can they let mine know please?!

Haha I know what you mean although mine leaves my ribs alone since he dropped. Come on babies!

well just got back from a 2 mile walk took 2 hours, maybe that will help?! Guess I will just have to deal with the evil women tmrw, worse things happen at sea eh?! just never thought I would go over
Not helping that my m/w is on her hols and there seems to be some indecision about when she is back and no real cover while she is away. the joy of living in the sticks I guess. Another m/w advised they won't talk to me about induction till 30th!!!! aarrggghhhh....

Will they give you another sweep in the meantime? I was given a sweep at 40+7 or 41 however you want to look at it, they were due to give me another one at 41+4, but luckily the baby came the day before. Where I am they don't induce you until you are 2 weeks over and that's if they have a bed for you.

My baby seems to be trying to punch it's way out of my belly and getting a bit annoyed that they can't! :rotfl:

I really need to get my bum in gear and get DD1's old stuff out of the attic to wash and put away, the moses basket oh and pack hospital bags! Fingers crossed this baby follows in her big sister's shoes and comes out late!

Oh well mat leave starts on the 26th, but I feel like it's today as I have 5 days off work then back in for 1 day as I didn't have enough A/L to cover that 1 day :)

still here and have totally lost the will.
this stop starting is driving me crazy, is it something I am doing or not doing that is making it stop start???

why why why hasn't he come already
oh goes back to work tmrw, which means I am back on the nursery run and all those bloody annoying smug women asking stupid questions.
Half term on Friday and I really wanted some time with baby while nursery was still on.
I don't think I could be more depressed.....

    40 +4

Right there with you on the stop start thing. Every evening my belly is flexing its muscles on baby and baby's head and shoulders are pushing down. All very uncomfortable. Feels like something is about to pop! And every night I think something is about to happen but nothing does. One of my relatives gavr birth this morning and she was due after me.
So last night I went out for a curry, had pineapple for supper and even got DH to do his bit for the cause. The combination made me nauseous lol. But no flippin contractions. Have got a bit of a tummy ache, but I think thats just wind lol.
Re: half term- to be positive I am happy this baby will have a half term birthday. Love that DS's birthday is when I'm off for May half term
I'm a teacher and in term time often work load and general exhaustion means not much time or energy left. This way I can make both their birthdays special :)
Thanks for all the suggestions with the Tommee Tippee machine. Told my mum about it today and she was most disapproving. "Why don't you just make them up a few at a time like you did last time" and "use the bottle warmer you were given for free" (Someone clearing table at end of a carboot montgs ago gave us about 5 carrier bags of stuff, toys for DS and baby things- we gave some of it away as we had too much) Still considering it but put off by the fact that a couple of months ago it was £30 cheaper. Wouldn't pay more than £35 secondhand as that plus £10 for new filter nearly equals price it has sold for new.
    40+5.

I had a nice week where he dropped... upped the toilet trips but saved my ribs and helped me breathe again... then he obviously decided lungs make better pillows than a bladder so he appears to have floated back up :(

Ah well... On the home stretch now. Next week is my nursery decorating week as all you organised ladies have made me feel guilty (jealous) that I haven't got round to mine yet :)

The painting of the nursery has started :j:j

I got so fed up of waiting for hubby to do it that I have just started doing it myself. Quietly hoping though that he will do the high bits and the ceiling as I am not going up ladders :)

We have gone for the colour Mellow Sage as we were not going to ask the gender at our scan, however even though we are having a boy the colour will be fine until he is old enough to voice an opinion :D

Now I just need someone to move the piano out the way :rotfl:

Hi all - seems an age since I was last here with the bump (LO is now nearly 4 months!). I cannot recommend sleeping bags highly enough - saves so much faff (I was totally against them at first....and bought the whole sheet/blanket bundles). I have 2 x 2.5 tog (for winter) and 2 x 1.0 tog (for warmer nights) and find that that's all I need for 6 months - and seriously they are absolutely fab! No kicking off of blankets and wondering how many layers to use etc...

They are best value from Sainsburys (when they are doing their 25% off clothing - they are included!), Tesco Direct (as you can double up your Clubcard vouchers, LittlePreciousOne or Kiddicare (I think Mamas and Papas online also have some reasonably priced ones at the moment too).

I would never ever go back to sheets and blankets again - they are just sooooo much easier! (ok...baby has a fitted sheet but that's it!). I really wish I hadn't wasted money on sheets and blankets for the cotbed - although a couple of moses basket sized blankets will help until baby is about 8-9lb and big enough to go in a sleeping bag and for daytime sleeping whilst still tiny! Hope this helps someone!

And this is also much safer than cot bumpers - http://www.amazon.co.uk/Airwrap-Side-Protection-System-Sided/dp/B0030MLLX0/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1381869279&sr=8-2&keywords=air+wrap (and actually looks better in real life than on amazon!!!)

Popping back on for the first time in 3 months and saw a post from you so had to say Hi!

Hope you are getting on well!

I miss my bump and this thread!
New first time mummy to a gorgeous little boy!
