    Anyone heard from COMP?

    COMP is lurking and sulking!!

2.5 mile brisk walk yesterday with mum and dog, lots of bouncing on birthing ball, curry, pineapple juice, even tried $ex. Nothing. Oh well. The frustrating thing is I've never been late for anything myself lol.

Put the sheets etc on bump's cotbed today and have tested out the baby monitor. Looks like I'm having a second nesting phase!!

My neice (who is two and a half) put a pair of headphones on the other day and tried plugging the other end into my belly button. She looked at me with a very serious look on her face and said "shhhh. Listen baby now ok?" - bless!!

how long after a failed sweep did you keep getting brown/pink discharge? Mine seemed to stop but has started again not a lot still small amounts and its not everytime I go to the loo more like every other time, and yet most of yesterday there was nothing (sweep was on Thursday?) does this mean that things could be moving along or is it normal to have afew days of this and then nothing if labour doesn't start? I have had back ache, cramping and all sorts of weird pains since she tried but nothing like contractions or really bad b hicks, more pressure and sensitivity....

It might not have failed I had a sweep on a Thur and contractions began Sat, baby came out Sun afternoon. I only had a little bit of discharge after the sweep, but everyone is different. I never saw my plug and my waters never broke until they were wheeling me for an episiotomy after pushing for ages.

Fingers crossed it could still work

Sorry to hear you are still here COMP :(!

We 'tried what put it there' this morning - which was strange as we had been on a ban since 20 week scan due to the placenta issues. No effect yet!

Wonder if any of these things make a jot of difference - or if it's just to take your mind off waiting.

OH spoke with his mate earlier who has been asking what we would like as a baby present - think he's off to buy the Perfect Prep for us :T.

I've never seen them on our local Gumtree either. I was :money:& told him where they were the cheapest - but a generous gift.

OH was sold on the idea when I explained what needed to be done in respect of making up bottles - he would do anything to make (his) life easier. Still hope not to use it too much in the early weeks, but it's there if needed.

  • Afternoon ladies.

Just had quick scroll through the last few pages and saw some of you mentioning the prep machine.

Mothercare now have it, its on the website for £99.99, but if I remember right it was £79.99 in store. I took a rocking stand back on Thursday and spotted it in store.

Well my little girl is a scary 13 days old now, time just flies. She's doing well, she's put on 6 oz in 12 days. Had 2 rough nights with her so far, over tired and refusing to sleep. Took us 5 hrs the other night to get her to sleep properly, she was only sleeping for 10 mins on/off in that 5 hr period. However once asleep she then slept for 6 hrs solid. That was my 1st proper cry moment, I felt really useless that I couldn't get my baby to sleep.

    Hope everyone is well.

    Congrats Lobey lovely news.
Super tired today, feel really useless and rubbish. Got up early did housework and got ready for trip to shops with hubby. Had a meltdown in the car on the way out, turned round and came home to bed where I've stayed or last four hours or so. Going out to see friends in about an hour so will have to get up in a bit. Think I'm feeling sad about upcoming anniversary of the miscarriage we had, and just really really tired. Maybe tomorrow I'll have a little more energy! Sorry to moan, had to get it off my chest!

That would be great if it did, but she said she hadn't been able to reach properly said it kept slipping away and although was soft was too long and to try next week....

I've cried three times whilst sorting out the nursery...I told you yesterday I was dreading it! Almost cleared now...had to stop for a cuppa. It's taken 4 hours so far.

Hugs to all those who are having weepy days :( i have had many, many of them throughout the last 9 months! Feeling pretty good today, keep telling myself that it's only going to be 8-10 days maximum until baby is here. Doesn't sound like too long to wait compared to how long we have waited already. Dodgy hip has also (strangely) got a lot better in the last week or so, maybe baby has changed position?

We put off clearing ours out for AGES but it feels sooo good once it's all finished, was a weight off my mind :) promise it'll be worth it!
