Thanks I will take a look on ebay ;)
Edit: not many on there and the ones that are listed are selling close to normal price.
Best prices so far are Amazon and Asda. Asda is handy as collect from store and can potentially return to store. Asda is listing it at £99.99 but with 20% off applied at checkout so works out the same as Amazon.
Unless there is anyway to save extra with Amazon atm?

If you don't need the Perfect Prep straightaway, it may be worth setting up an alert on Camelcamelcamel as the price has fluctuated recently.

There was an offer when you join amazon family to get £10 off orders over £50 but I'm not sure if it's current? I ordered the perfect prep when it was £53 (i think) and got a further £10 knocked off. Quite relieved I ordered it a while back although it felt ridiculously early at the time. Looking forward to trying it after reading reviews on here x

Fluffy all I can think is order from asda via a cashback site? Sorry not much help :( x

    Congratulations lobey! :D

Fluffy do they sell it on Kiddicare? They would price match plus give you 25% of the difference, I think?

I did write a reply/post the other day, but my phone lost it  Thanks for your response Badly, feel free to pm the birth stories :) I'm still concerned about not being able to do it, but there's nothing I can do but rest really... Got an appointment with the consultant on Wednesday (and GTT, meh) so we'll see what they say then... Definitely getting more aches in the hips/pelvis/back region too. Hoping it's a passing phase and not here to stay :o

Can't remember whatever else I was gonna say the other day now, so I'll go back to lurking while bubs jiggles on my bladder and ribs, simultaneously ;)

6.15am & just having breakfast! Laid awake for an hour but decided I could wait no longer.

No Perfect Preps at Argos by us either.

    Strangely Kiddicare don't sell it.

If you haven't already registered with Babies R Us & you want to buy from there, it's probably worth registering as I have had several £5 off over £30 spend with them. Can't remember if they e mailed a voucher straight away (think they did).

Or they also have £15 off a £100 spend - I'm sure there's likely to be something else to top the shop up to £100. I assume you won't be able to use both.

M&P also sell it & have a price match.

I have held off buying it - not sure why as I can't imagine that I will exclusively breast feed. I'm not overkeen on the whole prospect of it, but will give it a go.

I've watched plenty of friends make up several bottles in one go to last the night/ day, but I know the current advice is not to make in advance.

If you can exclusively bf TTC40 it is so much easier for the lazy mum. You just whack them in the nip and off they go, no screaming child, no waiting for kettle, no worrying its the wrong temp etc. The baby is super attached to you, but once they calm down you can express the odd bottle and get you OHs to feed. It is especially good when out and about, I met up with a friend who had a LO the same age, he began crying and I mean screaming, she had to warm the ff up and that was a struggle as Starbucks can't give you the water, they will take the bottle and do it for you, but when the baristas are super busy your screaming baby is not priority! I could just discreetly pop my LO on for a quick feed.

I must admit I was super lucky with DD1 she began dropping a night feed at 8 wks and then she began sleeping 12 hrs through the night from 3 mths with a bit of a blip at 4 mths, but I couldn't hack all the bottle washing/sterilising. Bf meant I had an excuse to veg in front of the tv!!

I know bf isn't for everyone, I know loads of people who think ff is so much easier, but I'm not really sure it is when you factor in all the washing, sterilising, the craziness when there was a formula shortage last year. Anyway just my views :)

    Congratulations Lobey!

Lola- for me, it's the thought that my husband can also do the feeds with FF immediately (and he wants to be able to do this). I don't think BF is easier than FF if you don't get on with it and it's a struggle, especially if you start resenting doing it as it's so hard for some. I have seen a whole variety of babies being fed in a variety of ways- for some BF was a complete nightmare- velcro babies, painful experiences, feeds that take hours and not being able to have a life of your own as you're constantly feeding. For others who have found it easy then makes complete sense.

Ended up being monitored in hospital for ages last night due to reduced movements, but all was fine eventually (lazy baby!). Looking forward to a weekend of getting everything finally finished including backing the curtains in the baby's room. I am a good sewer and it's an easy job but I have been putting it off for weeks for some reason- no excuses now!
  • Fluffysox - have you tried Gumtree or any of those Facebook selling pages? Failing that, quidco or Top Cashback may save you some pennies? I may be tempted myself to buy one if bf doesn't work for me this time around. I saw it when they were around £50 (think someone put a link on here at the time) but I think I was only around 20wks at the time. With the girls, we just batch made them but apparently that's a big no-no these days.

    Anyone heard from COMP?

Feel like I'm just waiting in limbo now until baby is out. Had so many signs that body/baby doing the right things towards eviction and had seriously painful cramping/BHs. Mind you, I have said I thought I would have him somewhere between 39-40wks. Must remind myself though that just because my previous 2 came through the night, this one may not! Quite happily been going out and about without notes/bags etc as I'm in denial about anything starting during waking hours - not good when I know I have quick labours!

Ooo what a good site, I noticed via various sites last night that the price was a lot lower in August. It looks like an Asda baby event caused it and other sites basically lowered their price to match. So has been available at approx £50, which is how much people are currently selling them secondhand on ebay. Shocking when you'd have to pay delivery and buy a new filter. (And not be able to return if it was not working) Will look into Amazon family and Asda cashback, thanks for the suggestions ladies. Can't really wait for a deal as baby overdue already. And being honest with myself bf was a struggle last time without the added pressure of a 2 year old. If I am pleasantly surprised and it turns out to be easy for me in hospital this time then I can always take it back to Asda ;)
Off out for a curry tonight, will make sure its a spicy one ;) If that doesn't work we'll try going over speed bumps and as my aunties keep telling me "do the same thing that put in in there". Got to be honest even DH isn't keen on tjis option. He said I should eat pineapple instead as the bump gets in the way and he hates squishing the baby :p

  • how long after a failed sweep did you keep getting brown/pink discharge? Mine seemed to stop but has started again not a lot still small amounts and its not everytime I go to the loo more like every other time, and yet most of yesterday there was nothing (sweep was on Thursday?) does this mean that things could be moving along or is it normal to have afew days of this and then nothing if labour doesn't start? I have had back ache, cramping and all sorts of weird pains since she tried but nothing like contractions or really bad b hicks, more pressure and sensitivity....
I need to start saving so I plan to save £2 a week to start with:beer:
