I think the jiggling is the secret Toothfairy!
They're roughly every 5-6 mins last 40 seconds, I don't feel in much pain though so I'm kind of wondering if I should be more ready to go to the hospital.
Oooo exciting, best ring the delivery suite if you haven't done so already so they know you'll be joining them at some point. They'll probably encourage you to stay home for now and ring again when they are every 4 minutes and pain is getting more severe. Don't forget you can have paracetamol and warm baths too

Weather was lovely here today so took the opportunity to have a good walk with DS. He loved jumping on fallen leaves. Went to the park and I even had a go on the swings lol but baby does not seem to want out yet. :rotfl:

Race you! Lol
Deal lol! Sounds like we'll both be hanging around here for another while but you never know0 -
Honestly, at first it was tough due to the birth I had. I really struggled, I mean REALLY! I'm getting better now though and finding it much easier. I can't believe how much I am smitten with him but that's brought with it quite a bit of anxiety. I worry about his every move, whether he's too hot or cold, his breathing, how much he eats, his cord bled - I was frantic! I have cried more than him in this last 2 weeks for various reasons
I'm so out of sync due to various hospital admissions - supermarket shopping, cleaning, food preparation has all been done for us by mum or sister and brothers. OH has done ALOT of baby night feeds too while I try and rest and get better so I have no routine of my own. Not that baby has one either!!!!
Baby absolutely makes my heart melt though. He snorts like a cute piglet when he needs feeding and throws his hands up when he is asleep like he is catching flies! Really, as you will know, there is no love like a mother's (and father's love)!! We left him with my sister today whilst we had a quick trot out to supermarket and I actually missed him and just wanted to be back at home!!
Long answer to that question!!!
Hope your feeling well now yourself KScarlet. Being ill and pregnant is no fun! I kind of miss being pregnant but in other fabulous news I am back to pre pregnancy weight. Lost alot immediately after birth but I was (and still am) flabby on my belly. In fact it all felt rather gross but now I am at least the weight I was pre pregnancy albeit with a wobbly belly that is actually quite easy to hide anyway! MY legs are thinner though - don't know if that's from holding my belly up but I am so pleased cos my legs have always been chunky!!!
Thanks so much for the updateI can remember the initial anxiety well, I still am terrible 3 years later always fussing over whether my little man is hot/ cold/ breathing etc! I am obviously more relaxed but its amazing how much this little person panics you!! You will get into a better routine with food/ appts etc it is a bit of a juggling act in the early weeks. LOL @ cute piglet!! My son used to make a growling noise in his sleep it always made me laugh :P noisy things newborns! I can remember the early weeks I was dying for a break, just 5 minutes to myself, then I would pop out while my mum/ etc watched LO and I felt so guilty. I still do now! I am still poorly but thankyou for asking, I am hoping my chest/ etc will clear soon I just think I am a bit run down sorting out cover while I am off work (management should do this!) I also have some exams, 2 weeks left of work and getting myself into a silly panic over things! Well done on the weightloss and slimmer legs!! I was amazed how much I lost last time but unfort I gained it eating far too many biscuits :P I was so shocked at the state of my stomach after, the books certainly don;t tell you what it'll look like :rotfl: I am sure you will be back to normal soon. Its still very soon but I highly recommend 'Talk about' or whatever its called where you can go over your birth notes with a MW. My birth was traumatic and going over my notes/ having everything explained to me made things so much easier (I swore I would never have another but here I am 6 weeks away from my second child!) hope you are keeping well and good luck with little man xxxx
Angelmommy wrote: »Kscarlet - Gosh hope you're ok now? Must be horrible being ill on top of normal heavily-pregnant woes. I had bought lots of clothes (dd2 and I went a bit baby shopping mad after the 4d scan) plus sister gave me 2yrs worth of clothes from her little boy so I sorted them into ages and just washed anything 0-3 and under. The rest are bagged up in ages and in storage (mostly on top of wardrobe!). By the time I washed the early clothes/blankets/bedding etc I had 10 loads of washing. I'm doing ok thanks, have times when SPD is horrid but generally finding life much easier since I finished work last week. Xx
Kerri - glad pillow is helping you, I find it makes my SPD much worse. I woke in agony at 4am today just because I accidentally put the duvet between my legs while laying on my side. Wanted to sleep with pillow as supposedly really good for encouraging baby's head down - I feel like I push his head back up lol.
I think mine will be 10 loads of washing too maybe more! I need to wash moses basket covers, not sure about if I can wash mattress though?! Also want to wash bits of pram/ carrycot, clothes upto 0-3, blankets/ sleeping bags/ swaddling blankets, muslins, car seat covers etc... I also found the pillow between legs didn't help my SPDI've been off sick from work all week so now I am even more behind, so much for trying to get everything ready for handover!! xx
Thanks Badly for the bag link I will have a look xx
Good luck Lobey!! xx
Hi all, still not feeling great been trying to rest but it hasn't made much difference. My son has also been ill so I've been up with him most nights (DH works away) getting horrendous braxton hicks I tried keeping active while they are happening but it just feels like baby is pushing so low down its very painful.Trying to save for a deposit

I MUST sort out baby's room on Saturday...we've been given so much stuff and need to sort it all out. I can't believe that in one week time it will be the night before my last day at work before maternity leave starts!

It's my last day at work tomorrow (today?!)!!!
It's come so quickly... not prepared at all, they'll be cursing me next week when they realise just how much I've managed not to do before I go...
Can't sleep at all, I think it is thinking about work though so might do some things off my to do list and then who knows, maybe tomorrow will fly by and I'll have a nice early Friday finish...!
39wks tomorrow. It's flown by too, hoping this weekend to get things a bit more sorted. Hope you're not getting the impression I'm a 'last minute' kind of a girl...
Hope everything is going well lobey! Very exciting times. I want to meet my little man, but I also want to eat Jamaican ginger cake... different reasons, but both would be lovely right about now.
Hugs to you all x0 -
Sat waiting for the bay to come is not my idea of fun ever, but at least with my first pregnancy my son had the sense to come early (although he came on the date I said he would!) This one hasn't come on the date I said he would (12th) or my official on (16th) I went for a sweep yesterday (yes I am that impatient) Sadly it wasn't favourable only 1cm dialated, long although soft apparently, but she couldn't get in there said it kept slipping away and to try again next week!
OMG!! I think I have lost the will to live, it made me bleed a little, very sore but no contractions, just annoying Braxton hicks that go nowhere.
Worried that I will have to be induced and lets face it it all sounds very barbaric and awful, infact some might even say torturous! Bet they wouldn't still be breaking waters with hooks if men got pregnant! My m/w said make sure you have a LOT of gas and air before they start! Thanks cos that reassures me as if labour isn't evil and painful enough now we have to have pain before we start, she then went on to say that it may not work and you may have to have a c section??!!! OMG well just do one now then instead of making me wait and then put me through hell to end up cutting me open anyway.
Why did I think it was a good idea to have another baby??? (trust me I am not a woman who has ever said oohhh they are worth it in the end) (took 12 months to fall in love with the last one and he was good, this one isn't even being good)
Not grouchy at all......I need to start saving so I plan to save £2 a week to start with:beer:0
